Sol Kyung Gu will reportedly star in his third K-drama since his debut.
On November 22, media outlet JTBC Entertainment shared that Sol Kyung Gu will be leading the upcoming medical crime thriller K-drama Hyper Knife.
Sol Kyung Gu's agency and the production company that will produce the K-drama revealed that the actor got offered to lead the upcoming K-drama and he is currently reviewing it.
This year, Sol Kyung Gu led several films such as Phantom, Kill Bok Soon, The Moon, and A Normal Family. Next year, So Kyung Gu is already booked for the upcoming K-drama The Whirlwind. He will be working with Kim Hee Ae, Lee Hae Young, Kim Hong Pa, Jeon Bae Soo, and Lee Jae Woong.
Sol Kyung Gu made his debut on the small screen in 1999 through the K-drama Happy Together. After 25 years, he will finally return to K-dramas once again. If Sol Kyung Gu confirms his casting for Hyper Knife, this will be his second upcoming K-drama project.

Hyper Knife is a medical crime thriller K-drama that tells about the face-off of two crazy geniuses, one is a doctor and a killer and the other is his teacher who dropped him into the abyss.
The upcoming K-drama will be penned by writer Kim Sun Hee who also worked for K-drama God's Quiz: Reboot. It will be produced by Dongpung Co., Ltd. and Vlad Studios.
Sol Kyung Gu got the offer to play the role of a professor of neurosurgery at Yonsei University and president of the World Glioblastoma Society. Although he is intellectual and reliable on the outside, he will also showcase his instinct as a murderer on the inside.
