Sung Joon is joining the upcoming romance drama "Tell Me It's Love."
On July 1st reports circulated that Sung Joon is cast in the upcoming series.
Sung Joon's agency The Way Company responded to the reports and stated that the actor is indeed joining the cast of the upcoming drama "Tell Me It's Love." They also shared that the actor is currently filming for the series already.
"Tell Me It's Love" is a romantic melodrama that will focus on the story of a man and a woman who, exhausted from the harsh reality, begin to change after understanding each other more.
The series will be led by Kim Young Kwang as Han Dong Jin and Lee Sung Kyung as Shim Woo Joo.
Sung Joon will play the role of Yoon Joon, the male best friend of Lee Sung Kyung's character.
Other casts of the drama include Park Jin Ah and Jang Sung Bum.
"Tell Me It's Love" will be the latest work of screenwriter Kim Ga Eun. The series will premiere in the first half of 2023 and will reportedly be released on an OTT platform.
"Tell Me It's Love" will be one of his tv comeback projects of Sung Joon. The actor last starred in a broadcast drama in 2017.
Sung Joon is set to join the upcoming drama "Island Season 1" with Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, Cha Eun Woo, Go Doo Shim, and Park Geun Hyung. He will also lead the upcoming series "Younger" together with Seo Ji Hye.
The actor made his acting debut in 2010. He is known for being part of the dramas "Lie to Me," "Shut Up: Flower Boy Band," "Gu Family Book," "Hyde, Jekyll, Me," "High Society," and more.
