Super Junior's Choi Si Won and actress Jung In Sun received the offer to lead a new romantic comedy K-drama from TV Chosun.
On November 30, media outlets shared that Choi Si Won and Jung In Sun will be working together for the upcoming TV Chosun K-drama titled DNA Lover.
The upcoming K-drama will tell the romance story of a genetic researcher who always ends up in failed relationships, and tries to look for her destined partner through genes.
Choi Si Won and Jung Sung In's agencies both responded to the casting reports.
According to SM Entertainment, "Choi Si Won did receive the offer to be the male lead of the new TV Chosun K-drama and he is currently reviewing it."
H& Entertainment also shared their side and stated, "Jung In Sun is positively reviewing the proposal to be the female lead of the new K-drama from TV Chosun."
Choi Si Won got the offer to play the role of Shim Yeon Woo, a handsome obstetrician who rejects all fatalities. Jung In Sun on the other hand received the offer to star as Han So Jin, a genetic researcher who wants to look for her destined partner through genes.
There is no official confirmation yet on the airing date of the upcoming K-drama DNA Lover.
Before Choi Si Won stars in DNA Lover, the idol actor will first make a special appearance in the soon-to-air K-drama Death's Game led by Seo In Guk, Park So Dam, Go Youn Jung, Kim Ji Hoon, and Nam Kyung Eup. Choi Si Won is also actively participating in all the Super Junior group activities.
Meanwhile, DNA Lover will possibly be Jung In Sun's second upcoming K-drama. The actress is also expected to lead the upcoming series Grand Shining Hotel with Lee Ji Hoon.
Jung In Sun was last starred in the 2021 K-drama Let Me Be Your Knight.
