SBS's The Fiery Priest Season 2 dropped stills from the script reading session.
The Fiery Priest Season 2 is a comic investigation drama that follows hot-blooded, justice-driven priest Kim Hae Il as he heads to Busan to pursue a drug case that occurred in Gudam District.
The script reading was attended by Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, Kim Sung Kyun, Sung Joon, Seo Hyun Woo, BIBI, Kim Won Hae, Go Gyu Pil, Ahn Chang Hwan, Baek Ji Won, Jeon Sung Woo, and Yang Hyun Min.
Kim Nam Gil plays the role of passionate priest Kim Hae Il, who heads to Busan to fight a drug cartel. He remarked, "It's not easy to do a Season 2 after five years. Even though it requires a certain degree of sacrifice from all the actors, I am very grateful for being given this opportunity, and I sincerely ask for your support."
Lee Ha Nee returns as Kim Hae Il's secret ally, Prosecutor Park Gyeong Sun. She confidently expressed, "Since the stage has been set, I think I can grind my bones [give my all] and have fun."
Kim Sung Kyun said, "Let's have a wonderful and fun-filled journey on the ship without getting seasick," as he portrayed Detective Koo Dae Yeong, who helps Kim Hae Il on his mission.
Sung Joon plays Kim Hong Sik, who was sold to Laos as a child and returned to his hometown of Busan to establish a drug cartel.
Seo Hyun Woo portrays Nam Du Heon, a corruption prosecutor in the narcotics department of the Southern Branch of the Busan District Prosecutors' Office.
BIBI takes on the role of Detective Koo Ja Yeong, a detective from the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency's Narcotics Investigation Uni. She will help Kim Hae Il in the case and is a woman who never backs down in any situation.
Kim Won Hae returns as Vladimir Gozhaev, who supports Kim Hae Il in his pursuit of justice.
Go Gyu Pil portrays Oh Yo Han while Ahn Chang Hwan comes as Song Sak.
Baek Ji Won retains her role as Kim In Gyeong, and Jeon Sung Woo, as Father Han.
Yang Hyun Min plays Park Dae Jang, the boss of the group associated with Kim Hong Sik (Sung Joon).
The Fiery Priest Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on November 8. More news about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
