While Thailand has an array of young actors, three lads born in the year 2000 stand out as the most promising young stars given their prolific artistic output in the last couple of years.  These three are Chimon Wachirawit Ruangwiwat, Ohm Pawat Chittsawangdee, and Nanon Korapat Kirdpan, all talents of GMMTV, a Thai television/movie production and talent management subsidiary to the Thai entertainment conglomerate GMM Grammy.

Chimon Wachirawit Ruangwiwat (born on January 15, 2000) is one of Thailand’s most charming young actors.  He started his acting career with a guest role in the Thai drama series 13 Beloved (2006).  He also had a guest role in the film Ghost Ship (2015).  His first lead role was as an innocent young boy named Nack in the Thai Boys’ Love (BL) movie Sweet Boy (2016).

Not long after, he joined GMMTV and landed a supporting role as Toy in the drama series Senior Sweet Love: My Lil Boy 2 (2016).  He bagged one of the main roles in the drama series My Dear Loser: Edge of 17 (2017) playing the character named Sun.  Sun is the other half of the drama series’ BL couple In and Sun.  In was played by Pluem Purim Rattanaruangwattana.  Chimon also had main roles as Earth in the drama series YOUniverse (2018) and as Nui in the drama series Love Songs Love Series: Seb Tid Kwan Jeb Puad (2018).  He played the computer and math wizard named Wave in the drama series The Gifted (2018).  Pluem and Chimon reprised their roles as In and Sun in the Thai BL series Our Skyy (2018).

Chimon's most recent drama series, with him playing as Andrew, one of the main roles, was the drama series Blacklist (2019).  His upcoming projects include the sequel drama series The Gifted: Graduation (2020) and the movie My Precious (2020).  While still very young, he evokes a certain sensitivity, especially through his eyes, that makes him a very promising Thai actor.

Ohm Pawat Chittsawangdee (born on March 22, 2000) is one of Thailand’s hottest young actors. His foray into acting started when he played the character named Frame in one of the earliest Thai BL series, Make it Right The Series (2016) aired in Thai TV Channel 9.  After the BL series, he got main roles in the Thai drama series Haunted (2016) and War of High School (2016), both aired on Channel 9.  Ohm played Frame again in the sequel BL series Make it Right 2 (2017).  His debut film was entitled Enough (2017).  In Thai TV Channel 3, he had a supporting role in the drama series Bangkok Ghost Stories: Rescuer (2018) and a main role in the drama series Beauty Boy: The Series (2018).  With GMMTV, he starred in the BL series He’s Coming To Me (2019) where he played the main role named Thun.  For his acting capability in this BL series, Ohm won the Best Dramatic Scene Award with Singto Prachaya Ruangroj during the LINE TV Awards (2020).

He also played the character named Highlight, one of the main roles in the GMMTV drama series Blacklist (2019).  Recognizing his acting capability, he grabbed the title role in the Thai movie Dew The Movie (2019) produced by CJ Major Entertainment.  For this film, he was nominated as Best Supporting Actor at the prestigious Bangkok Critics Assembly Awards (2020). He is slated to be part of the movie My Precious (2020).  In all his acting projects, he has shown great emotionality and vulnerability that promise great dramatic works from this outstanding thespian.

Nanon Korapat Kirdpan (born on December 18, 2000) is one of Thailand’s most talented young actors.  The son of Thai veteran actor Khunakorn Kirdpan and Poonsuk Kirdpan, Nanon was groomed for greatness in the Thai entertainment industry.  He began his acting career at a very young age shooting TV commercials.  His first Thai drama series was Hormones 2 (2014) where he played a guest role named M.  Soon thereafter, Nanon joined GMMTV where he played the main role named S in the drama series Senior Secret Love: My Lil Boy (2016) and its sequel Senior Secret Love: My Lil Boy 2 (2016).  While with GMMTV, he also starred in the drama series The Legend of King Naresuan The Series: Season 1 (2017) aired in Thai Mono 29 Channel.  He played the character named Oh in the highly popular GMMTV drama series My Dear Loser: Edge of 17 (2017).  Nanon also played a guest role in the drama series Ra Raerng Fai (2017) and one of the main roles in the drama series YOUniverse (2018).

Cementing his reputation as an actor capable of carrying a drama series, he led the cast of the GMMTV drama series The Gifted (2018) where he played the role of Pang.  For his portrayal of Pang, he was nominated as Best Actor in a Leading Role in the prestigious Asian Television Awards (2020).  Nanon also had main roles in the GMMTV drama series Blacklist (2019) and Turn Left Turn Right (2020). Among his future projects are the sequel drama series The Gifted: Graduation (2020) and the movies My Precious (2020) and Bookworm Beauty (2021). Because he consistently delivers great acting performance, Nanon is considered one of the most promising Thai actors.

The future shines bright for the acting careers of Chimon, Ohm, and Nanon.  Indeed, they are the most promising Thai young actors to watch.
