Upcoming MBC drama "The Forbidden Marriage" to air this December!

The upcoming MBC drama "The Forbidden Marriage" announced its official air date.

"The Forbidden Marriage" will tell the story of the king of Joseon named Lee Heon who banned marriage for all single women after his wife died and a marriage scammer named So Rang. The drama will base its plot on the web novel of the same name. 

The series will be a collaboration between directors Jung Hoon and Park Sang Woo and writer Cheon Ji Hye. 

"The Forbidden Marriage" main cast includes Park Ju Hyun, Kim Young Dae, Kim Woo Seok, Yang Dong Geun, Park Sun Young, and Choi Deok Moon.

The broadcast network of the drama MBC confirmed on October 20 that the upcoming Friday-Saturday series will premiere on December 9 at 9:50 PM KST.

The production team shared, "We will showcase the youth romance that started in an era where love was forbidden. Please anticipate the sensational romantic comedy that reveals the exemplary chemistry of the main actors as well as the charm of the original web novel."

Park Ju Hyun will give life to the character named So Rang. She is a scammer who connects people. She is also the owner of a tea house named Aedaldang.

Kim Young Dae will play the role of Lee Heon, the King of Joseon. After his beloved wife dies, he has a hard time in life but is shaken up after he hears about So Rang and her mysterious claims. 

Kim Woo Seok will play the role of Lee Shin Won, a member of the judiciary house and the eldest son of the Ministry of Justice. He will arrest So Rang for scamming people. 

Yang Dong Geun will play the role of Jo Seung Gyun, the Minister of War.
