Veteran Korean Actress Jeon Mi Seon Found Dead In Apparent Suicide

The beloved veteran actress Jeon Mi Seon, was found dead in an apparent suicide earlier today. After her manager reported her missing, police found her in her hotel room, unresponsive. Unfortunately, they were unable to resuscitate her.  The media has been reporting that she had been going through a rough time, battling depression as well as the loss of a loved one. She was 48 years old.

Her agency released the following statement: 

Hello, this is Jeon Mi Sun’s agency Boas Entertainment.

We come with bad news. Actress Jeon Mi Sun has passed away at the age of 50 (by Korean reckoning).

She has been receiving treatment for depression. However, we are here with sad news today. We ask for your condolences, and we ask the media to refrain from reporting on unconfirmed rumors and speculations out of respect for her family, who are in shock and grief-stricken.

We will share more information once plans for her funeral parlor are set.

Jeon Mi Seon played in over fifty dramas and films in her vast career spanning nearly 30 years. Some of her most notable works were: 

Hide and Seek [2018]. Moon Embracing The Sun [2012], Memories of Murder [2003]

The King's Letters - her final film will be released next month on July 24th. 

Our deepest condolences go out to Jeon Mi Seon's family and friends. To lose a loved one is a pain that takes many years to get over. To lose a loved one to suicide is something that may never heal.
