Woo Ji Hyun will star in another Netflix original K-drama.
According to the media outlet Seoul Economic Star on February 1, Woo Ji Hyun is joining Kim Nam Gil and Kim Young Kwang in the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Trigger.
This will be his third Netflix original K-drama since his debut. In 2022, he starred in All of Us Are Dead. Last year, Woo Ji Hyun also appeared in the Netflix action thriller K-drama Gyeongseong Creature with Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Kim Su Hyun, Kim Hae Sook, Jo Han Chul, and Wi Ha Joon.
Trigger will also be the first official project of Woo Ji Hyun for 2025.
Woo Ji Hyun made his acting debut in 2014 through the movie A Fresh Start. Since then, he has been active both in films and K-dramas.
He is best known for being part of the works The Deal, The Kidnapping Day, Anna, Moebius: The Veil, Mouse, SKY Castle, Decibel, Inseparable Bros, and more.
The upcoming K-drama Trigger will be the next work of director Kwon Oh Seung who also helmed the film Midnight led by Jin Ki Joo, Wi Ha Joon, Park Hoon, Kil Hae Yeon, Kim Hye Yoon, and Jung Won Chang.
The series will showcase the journey of two men who are doing their best to control the situation after illegal weapons are suddenly accessible in South Korea, a gun-free country. Different gun-related crimes will all of a sudden emerge after they happen.
Woo Ji Hyun will portray the character named Yoo Jeong Tae. He is a student who is about to take the civil service examination. He will be the beginning of the key case in the series.
Trigger is set to premiere on Netflix in 2025.
