After almost three years of hiatus, Yoon Sang Hyun will finally return to K-dramas as a villain.
On August 16th, it was officially confirmed that Yoon Sang Hyun will be joining the cast of the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama Perfect Family.
Yoon Sang Hyun will be working with the main leads Kim Byung Chul, Yoon Se Ah, and Park Ju Hyun.
Perfect Family will base its story on the webtoon of the same name written by Nyangpa and illustrated by Joo Eun. It will showcase the life of Choi Seon Hee and her seemingly perfect family. Their world will crumble after Choi Seon Hee's friend Kyung Ho dies.
Park Ju Hyun will play the role of Choi Seon Hee while Kim Byung Chul and Yoon Se Ah will portray the role of her parents.
Yoon Sang Hyun on the other hand will give life to the villain character named Choi Hyun Min. He has good looks and speaks eloquently but in reality, he is an egoist who only thinks about his safety. He is a person who commits evil acts without feeling guilty. He will approach Choi Seon Hee with his fake persona and will commit a crime to get his old mother's insurance.
The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Yukisada Isao, the same director of the popular Japanese movie Crying Out Love, in the Center of the World. This K-drama will also be his first Korean project since he started his career.
Perfect Family will reportedly premiere this year.
Yoon Sang Hyun last starred in 2020 hit K-drama 18 Again. He worked alongside Kim Ha Neul, Lee Do Hyun, Roh Jeong Eui, Ryeoun, and Wi Ha Joon. After the series concluded, Yoon Sang Hyun didn't appear in any K-dramas or films.
The actor is known for being part of the hit K-dramas Terius Behind Me, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Pinocchio, I Hear Your Voice, Secret Garden, My Fair Lady, and more.
