The upcoming Coupang Play original K-drama Once Upon a Boyhood will officially premiere this November!
On October 18, it was announced that Once Upon a Boyhood starring Yim Si Wan, Lee Sun Bin, Kang Hye Won, Lee Shi Woo, Kim Yun Bae, and Kim Jung Jin will premiere on Coupang Play at the end of November. No specific date has been set yet.
Once Upon A Boyhood tells the story of a small and weak boy named Jang Byung Tae. He lives in Onyang in South Chungcheong Province and he is at the bottom of the school's social ladder. He then decided to transfer to Buyeo Agricultural High School. There, he will face a trial that will change his life.
The upcoming K-drama will be directed by Lee Myung Woo, the same director of the hit series One Ordinary Day, Backstreet Rookie, The Fiery Priest, You're All Surrounded, and more.
Coupang Play also released several still cuts for the upcoming action thriller K-drama.
Yim Si Wan will portray the role of Jang Byung Tae, a small and weak boy who transferred to Buyeo Agricultural High School.
Once Upon A Boyhood will have a total of 10 episodes. The K-drama will exclusively be available on the OTT platform Coupang Play. Other K-dramas that were produced by Coupang Play were One Ordinary Day, Anna, Decoy: Part 1, and more.
This will be the first K-drama of Yim Si Wan for the year. Early this year, the idol actor led the films Unlocked and Boston 1947. He also made a special appearance in the movie Honey Sweet.
For next year, Yim Si Wan will be one of the new casts of the much anticipated K-drama Squid Game Season 2. He will work alongside Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Joon, Park Gyu Young, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Jo Yu Ri, Noh Jae Won, Won Ji An, Kim Shi Eun, BIGBANG's T.O.P, David Lee, and more
