In general, you can earn contribution points by:
- Adding new people (i.e. actors, producers, directors, etc) or
- Adding new title (i.e. drama, movie, tvshows).
By NEW it means has not been added to MDL yet, not necessarily a new release or actor making a debut.
Or
- Editing or adding new info into an existing page (People/Title). Add/edit synopsis, add genre/tags, add cast/crew members, add poster, etc.
Here is the thread about adding new title to MDL, but I would recommend you to DM any of the active contributors first or even join their Discord server if you want to become a MORE ACTIVE contributor. This is for easy coordination among them and to avoid you from adding redundant things.

If you just want to contribute casually at your own pace, you can add/edit only when you find anything missing or need correction.
Maybe you can also start with small edit first, like adding new tags or adding missing cast in dramas/movies or adding missing characters name.
But remember that when you submit something, you need to provide source of info of that edit, i.e. the link to the website, screenshot, or anything to support your claim, for it to be approved by MDL staff. Otherwise your submission will be rejected.
