Was there any bi person in k-drama history?

I believe NaNa’s character in The Good Wife was bi.

But yes, I hope Sol gets her own character arch because she reads as ‘queer’ & I’m using this as an umbrella term because I’m not sure if she’s gay or if the writer decides to explore bisexuality. It may not seem like Sol is bi but I’m curious where they go with her as a character.

do you guys think that sol is a gay character? from her setup it really seems like it and I hope they don't chicken out about it because there is so little LGBTQ+ representation in kdramas.

Luckily Korea resists the invasion of identity politics. Enjoy USA TV

she emits queer energy so MUCH

Ugh I wish, but I doubt it. I have so little faith in Kdramas. There's so few lgbt rep. There's been some good stuff here and there but I won't get my hopes up. Sol and her friend (I don't remember her name lol) would be so cute tho ugh. I'm gonna end up shipping it even if I try not to. Stupid coffee guy.

I also don't like how gay characters are portreyed, even in new dramas (like Awaken or even Vincenzo).

The best gay character I've seen so far in a korean drama was in Secret Garden.  It's ironic, because this drama is so old and criticized a lot nowadays. I hope the Sol's plot would be as good as Han Tae Seon's.

There's been some decent lgbt portrayal here and there. I liked Itaewon class, Moment at 18, and Reply 1997. I thought those three were pretty decent, especially if you compare it to other rep. I've noticed a lot that often when there is lgbt rep they portray it negatively like in Record of Youth. So considering that, the bar is pretty low lol.

after ep 2 i’m 100% convinced sol is a lesbian and her friend is definitely into her but doesnt know it yet like she’s gotta be bi no one can convince me otherwise at this point

ep 2 i think makes it obvious for me.. and i also think her friend likes her too..

i think both sol and jiwan have feelings for each other. today's episode gave us many scenes that obviously mean they are into each other. i hope they don't ignore the potential their relationship could have as girlfriends but i'm pretty sure they will pair sol with the coffee guy

it seems like the show is gonna use the coffee guy as a way for her to like solidify that she isnt into guys but im also worried that the will chicken out and do to the traditional straight pairing. i have hope though

after ep 2, shes definitely somewhat gay lol. i'm so glad they put this in bc it wasn't in the webtoon.

There’s also gay characters in My Unfamiliar Family. I thought the presentation was good in there. Being gay wasn’t portrayed as a negative thing more so it touched upon the subject on how hard it is for gay people to openly be themselves in a society that has stigma towards them.

true ! i really like the presentation there, even though it would have been more interesting for a main character to be lgbtq but it was great anyways ! i hope they'll talk about it in nevertheless

If they make Sol endup with coffee guy . It will be hate crime on gays in pride month . I think he is just link between their story making them relize they like eachother as we see in ep2 Wan get jealous.  Sol trying hard to not be nervous around , the way she care for Wan  . I swear she is girlfriend goals

literally if these girls don't end up together I'm gonna riot. If they're not setting them up to be together then this is a while new level of queerbaiting
