i also haven't read manga but from what i've heard taiwanese hana kimi went more like manga. and i liked the comedy & acting a bit better in it but JPN had better ending.

The manga is longer and has more detail, also some of the reasons in the drama were changed (I think to make it more dramatic) so it doesn't really follow the manga well other than some scenes (such as the ending when everyone wishes her farewell and such was similar in the manga). The drama I thought they made it more random and funny. The taiwan version is closer to the manga until the ending.

So I guess it's safe to say that this is going to be a complete new version, and not like the manga

The drama was a complete fail in my opinion, it lacked much of what I loved about the manga, in fact, I felt like it took the names, general idea, and just ran with it headfirst into the whirlpool of WTFery.

As i can understand, they are changing the plot...and I thought they were going to make it closer to manga.
The Japanese version was not like the mange, except for the characters and the MAIN scenes, for example the way Sano found out Mizuki was a girl, the Taiwanese version has it right... though I'm not the fan of the TW version...
Now I'm skeptical about the remake...I'm going to watch it whatever, though I'm so not into the main characters' appearance...

That's what I originally thought, too, but it's going to be a completely new storyline. I wish they'd made the japanese version a little more like the Taiwan version because it was closer to the manga. I'm skeptical about watching it, too, still going to watch it. I just hope they don't ruin it.

Ohh wow I guess they already have the cast figured out then. I guess this is just something we'll have to find out when it comes out, making me nervous about it though -_-, haha

Thanks for the additional links. The more I hear about it the less I wanna see it, but I know that no matter how bad it gets, I will be drawn to watch it, lol. kinda like a car crash.
