Title: 소울메이트 / Soulmate
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Episodes: 22 (aired on 12 days) + 1 special
Broadcast network: MBC
Broadcast period: 2006-Mar-13 to 2006-Jun-05

This is 22 1/2 hour episodes aired together so really it feels more like 11 episodes plus there is a 'special'.

Have you watched this? Do you plan to?

I first heard about this drama on several blogs where the bloggers raved about this. When it aired it was an unexpected critical, if not popular success. I watched it and ended up loving it! It is such a refreshing and modern change for a Kdrama. It feels like a predecessor to some of the more modern, frank, mature and brave dramas that seem to be airing lately. It has a great soundtrack too. Please see the MDL link above for the synopsis, stats, reviews and recommendations. Discuss if you want to.
I plan to watch this drama though I think I don't know any of those actors and actresses.
sounds interesting...added it to my list..haven't even read the synopsis yet...your description was too tempting lol
My favourite drama. Plus it has an amazing ost.
It's in my current line-up (: I've been wanting to watch it for awhile but haven't gotten around to it yet haha. Will soon though (:
Watching this drama now :D

It's annoying me though! At the end of episode 7 Phillip is singing a song - and I know I've heard it before but for the life of me I can't think of what song it could be! I thought it might be a Shinhwa song, then maybe a g.o.d song or even a H.O.T song....I can't figure it out =__=

By the way - why do they use their actual names (the actors) in the drama? I've never seen another Kdrama do that haha

About the 'actual names' thing... a lot of the Korean sitcoms do this. If it is a family they might change a last name to fit and keep their first names. Case in Point: High Kick 3: Revenge of the Short Legged where Yoon Kye Sang played the younger brother to Yoon Yoo Sun and since their sir names were the same they didn't have to change them.

here is the link to show you that most of their real names were kept for the show.

Haha nice. If you watch the 22 episode version the episodes are pretty short, too (:

Ohh wow I didn't know that hahaha. Thanks for the info (: I guess Soulmate would be a type of sitcom rather than a drama?
I finally found out the song Philip was singing at the end of episode 7...haha they even mentioned it later on in the drama, haha

I also loved these songs from the soundtrack (:

ah that C'mon Through song....dear goodness I was hooked on that song for a while after watching the drama...it's nice hearing it again ^^ Sometimes I feel like English songs in the OST don't quite fit in a drama, but for this particular series it was pretty well done indeed.
i think i'm going to watch this, it has the brother from stars falling from the sky in it and i LOVED him in that drama.
