i feel the same way! :(
first drama that i'm satisfied with the ending
I'm gonna miss waiting for the new episodes of this drama each week... I mean, for the last 2 months +, it did became a habit.... I'm quite satisfied with its ending... It might be Tae Yong, but since he's the reincarnation of Lee Gak, I think it's ok... It was quite heartwarming to think, that after 300 years, they were finally reunited and they could finally fulfill their love story that they couldn't do in the past... (^-^)... well, it's just my POV
I really liked the Joseon episode & finding out what happened (hooray to all of us who were adamant that it wasn't Crown Princess that drowned). I really admired the bravery & determination of Bu Yong on how she saved the Crown Prince's life & at the same time tried to protect her family.

Conclusion I noticed that Bu Yong was a heck of a lot smarter & braver than the airhead/doormat that is Pak Ha lol
Its such a shame that she was the best character (out of all both in Joseon & modern times) yet shes the one who had the most suffering throughout her life.

I didn't get the ending I wanted for Se Na I am not happy that she gets to grow a conscience at episode 19 that is waaayyyy too late in a 20 episode drama :p

All in all it was no great masterpiece but it was entertaining & fun so 9/10 :)
Can someone explain the whole Lee Gak, Tae Yong thing at the end of the last episode?

Lee Gak/Crown Prince went back to Joseon times & stayed there alone as Bu Yong died & crown princess was exiled.

Tae Yong meanwhile has awoken from his coma & meets up with Pak Ha in modern times ....presumably as he is a reincarnation of Lee Gak he feels a strong pull towards Pak Ha/maybe even retains some memories....

I guess this was the writers way of trying to give the viewers a happy ending which wasn't really possible as the 2 people who met & fell in love with EACH OTHER were Pak Ha & Lee Gak but at the end of the drama they were separated by 300 years so next best thing Tae Yong & Pak Ha end up together.
Ahhh. Ok. That makes sense. I wish that they actually showed Tae Yong waking up from the coma. That might have explained the ending more.
I just want to share this... I was curious about the content of the joseon book that Park Ha read too... (^-^) *Han Ji Min Gave Necklace as She Saw Death of Yoochun in Annals of Joseon Dynasty* In the final episode (ep. 20) of SBS’s “Rooftop Prince” aired on May 24th, 2012, thanks to the necklace gifted by Park Ha (Han Ji Min), Lee Gak (Park Yoochun) once again escaped death. The original plot is to kill Lee Gak, but in order to save Lee Gak, Bu Yong (the past life of Park Ha) died instead, causing the tragedy. Omo~~~ that's a hell of a thinking!!! And I was still curious what she'd read there, though I still don't understand why Lee Kak did't go the library or search the internet for history...

really?? cool!! B)
You know, they really did not explain what Park Ha was reading at all!! So ^^ explanation really helps a lot.
I was somewhat enlightened too after reading this... I mean, they really didn't explain in the drama what Park Ha had read... so I was glad after reading this. (^-^)
Hooooly Shisus was that the most amazing ending ever! If my mom wasn't in the room I would've drowned in tears (also if all my friends weren't determined to spam me with 9gag pics on skype). First of all, the moment Se Na donated the liver I gave her a round of applause because I've always thought that the actress was pretty but the character personality was so rotten that I hated her schemes and plots and when she abandoned Tae Moo I was finally glad that she developed a consciense And God all the suffering both Boo Yong and Park Ha had to go through! Han Ji Min is an amazing actress and she played out both aspects of Park Ha perfectly and all the feelings she had to go through! SADNESS OVERLOAD!!!! Q.Q In the ending, when Yong Tae Yong was buying the juice and she wasn't looking at his face I was yelling "NOT THE MIRI EFFECT! NO!!!" because seriously in Miss Ripley when Yoochun was RIGHT BEHIND Lee Dae Hae (or the other way around, I don't really remember) and they didn't meet I was angry for days. But the ending itself was very touching and most definitely perfect for the series, I LOVE this drama and I don't think I'll see any drama being even remotely as good as Rooftop Prince. I'll miss this drama very much

Because Lee Gak isn't as smart as Boong-Do, lol. But I have to agree, that explanation really helped me understand it more.
