My love for Gong Yoo had me bookmarking it since Sunday but I can't bring myself to watch it after what I read here. I'm afraid it'll create the same disturbing sick feeling I had when I watched "Requiem for a dream", and boy I never want to see that one again. I did watched a couple of rough movies but I don't know if I can take that one, and I have nobody to watch it with me.

If you are referring to the 2000 movie with Jared Leto, this is harder to watch that that one (and that one was a hard watch).
Yup, that's the one! I couldn't care less about an adult ruining his own life with drugs, alcohol and sex but the child topic is different. It WILL get to me.

Yep, in that movie it was their own choices, but this is just..I don't know how anyone can call themselves human after they do something like that to a child.

Well if you watch it :O I can guarantee it won't create a good feeling XD it will be disturbing for sure D:

But smth else disturbs me D::::
"Novelist Gong told me that she only managed to depict one third of what actually happened in her novel", said the director. "And my film couldn't even deal with all that was written in her book"
"While I'm glad the story has been told, it's said that it was only able to show a small amount of what happened."

I am kinda glad she didn't put everything in the movie x.x Even this is too much D:::: if you know what I mean :s

i dont know im 17 and i found it very disturbing. i started watching it knowing it was going to be disturbing but it was at least 10 times more disturbing then thought it was going to be. if you are still going to watch it i warn you that it is very graphic.

It was disturbing for me and I'm 28...I'm never watching it again....

But I didn't even know what the movie was really about since I wasn't planning on watching it and just watched it because I promised Han, I would.

seems like you got the raw end of that deal lol. i am also never going to watch it again. i kinda knew what it was about but i didnt think it would be so very graphic.
I feel that reading the articles and being cognizant of the events is enough for me. For months I anticipated watching this even knowing / and even because of the subject matter. It is important for people to be aware of cruelties and injustices in this world so they can be stopped/prevented. But I do NOT need to watch this movie to be informed / sensitive and knowledgeable. After reading all the articles Han posted and the comments here from those who have watched, I have changed my mind. I don't feel watching an extremely graphic depiction is necessary. I'm not going to watch.
