16 is way too young for this movie D:::: You can wait more years to watch this :s This movie is not for kids , it isn't about he loves her , but he leaves her so she can live happily ever after and then you cry because of it D: not a rom-com ! and no .... this isn't a horror either :s so you get scared Way more serious @_@ The scenes ... zomg >__<
In my review, I rated -16 according to the rating way in france, but I agree, 16 is too young. I'm almost 21 and usually I'm not easily shocked, but this movie is a exception. I don't think anybody can be considered tough enough to stomac this movie. If the Crucible leaves you unharmed, you're not human that's all.

Yea, I rated it 18-20+, NC-17 by US standards. There was no conventional rating to convey my feelings so I made one up.
T^T but but but... Ive been waiting to watch this movie for ages >_> I was able to watch movies like... Saw1-7, Hostel... and better yet The Human Centipede. I know none of these could really be compared, but... After Human Centipede, im sure nothing could want to make me throw up more.

My friend has told me what the Centipede is about and yes it's indeed throw up worthy but The Crucible is not disgusting like that or Serbian Film (don't even try to watch that, my friend is REALLY into nasty things and she couldn't sit through this one). It's not about psychos who like to do creepy things to people but about the wrong and simply inhuman acts towards disabled children who cannot ask for help and the movie moved me deeply and I was depressed for hours after

Like I said before, you may be ready for this movie but you should ask one of your parents to watch it first to make sure that you will be.
what kind of movies do you guys watch o_______o
I just talked to my mother. Let me preface this with I am 22 and have not lived at home since I was 13. I asked her if, when I was 16, would she have watched a movie for me to see if it was appropriate even though it was in Korean and subtitled? She loathes subtitled movies and hates asia even more. Her answer both did and did not surprise me. She told me that of course she would have watched the movie for me. Why? Because she loves me and she would have been happy that I had the maturity to ask her for her advise. And now, years later, I think it IS a sign of maturity to say that you are just not ready for some things. Now, I completely admit I would never have asked her at 16 to screen a movie for me, I would have just done it. Thankfully, this movie, and none like it, were within my prevue at that age. So, take it as you will, I hope you will be wiser than I was at that age.

Movies like that are all fictional, so no matter how disgusting they are you can walk away with the knowledge that it isn't real. This movie is about true life events. They actually happened. After you watch it, you won't be able to console yourself with that fact that it's not real. Because it is real. I'm not gonna tell you what to do, none of us are, but we're just trying to warn you that it might be too upsetting. At the end of the day, the choice is yours. We just worry about how it might effect you and don't want you to get hurt/upset.

here here!!! and well said by both of you! Ukissme...It is ultimately your choice. I guess in my mind it's more...Why would you want to put yourself through watching something so extremely graphic and traumatic at your age? (I know I've chosen to read about the events and inform myself rather than watch an extremely harsh depiction of them) Reading the articles was enough for me and if it is a question watching a great actor like Gong Yoo in a new role...I'll wait for something else or re-watch something old.
Finally finished it (i just watched it alone, its a rare for me to watch alone) i would never let my 55 years old aunt watch this film cause she is (too old ? lol ),, no... actually i think she will says its a terrible movie and will give it like 2/10 (she hates shows that are full of looser)...i think...almost all films we've watch that based on real event = it su**s for her (but not for me)
Wow...I can´t say anything other to it right know....I am still stuned from the trailer ....I didn´t expect that to come :) I think that movie is amust to watch ;)
this is my 2nd best movie for the year of 2011 my 1st was Sunny

Sad thing is, I don't... Live alone, but my parents both work, and they are out of the country all the time. I am also an only child lol. Im not kidding when I say I see them maybe 1-2 times a year for less than 3 days >_> I cant do that lol, and they are super busy.
I think I might try watching it tonight, but If I think I cant get through a certain scene ill stop.

Thanks for your concern though, I really appreciate it.
But, Im not joking when I say I have been waiting for this movie since forever, and it looks really good.

That is true....I must admit then I am still at the age of 16 (actually it is still a month to go xD) and I have watched movies that I have wanted to watch already since the age of 12 :) My parents don´t have any clue as how many violent, cruel things I have already seen in my life...Somehow it is a little sad :( At first they really were against my new hobby reading Mangas, watching asian fils..etc..they just don´t understand it ^^ I must admit that every time it gets harder to ask your parents about your opnion of things you watch. The reason is very simple...They would be definetely shocked! Because it get worse every time :p If I would have done it in the beginning maybe but now...;)
