Cliches I Hate

Second Male Lead Never Gets Girl
Second Female Lead is B****
Rich parents don't like their son liking the poor girl
The female lead is poor
Those damn ''barely touch my lips kiss''
Those perfect U-turn on the highway

Cliches I Love

Back Hug
Piggback Ride
Karaoke
Shower Scenes
hmm... some cliches are okay and quite funny, because they make the drama more lively and fun. for example in the drama Smile, You whenever they get close to kissing someone walks in,it happens so many times that you cant help but laugh your head off and role your eyes. lol
i hate those cliches where the guys ex-gf or first love comes back. ugh that annoys me sooo much.i want to tell her to get a LIFE.haha :P
Ex GF piss me of too (or those damn childhood friends, who love the main guy the whole time, but dont do anything, till the main girl shows up). And stupid rich parents/grandparents who are mean to their cildren or just dont like the main poor girl and try to break them up.
But actually, accept those two cliches, i LOVE all the other ones (even those really annoying ...lol XD). Because without those cliches, it wouldnt love them so much... :)
To be honest, i actually found some drama, that are without usual cliches (e.i. That Fool - tha main guy is totaly honest, nice man; Pasta - exGF is not evil, i actually liked her more, than the main girl ^_^; Who Are You - NO exGF at all - which was pretty cool and no mean parents stuff)
LOL I loved reading these posts they make me laugh!

Fav cliches:
-when the guy drags a girl away like a rag doll (heart flutters even though it really is not nice)
-when someone faints and instead of calling an ambulance a person will piggyback them to the hospital because they somehow think they'll get there faster (this always makes me laugh)
-Kareoke is a must! (always entertaining)
- hug from behind (so sweet)
- leads fighting/bickering acting like they dont like eachother than they fall head over heels=D
- at a party the girl gets her clothes messed up or is an outsider. but the guy will come and make her feel better.
- ugly duckling gets a makeover (always fun to watch)

Cliches I'm not a fan of
-guy piggybacking girl (i liked it at first but its getting to be too much of a cliche)
- everone is always getting drunk! How can Koreans drink so much?? and the puking has to stop!
- When the guy or girl decide to go overseas and expect the other person to wait years for them. (i really really hate this one!!)
- when the endings end abrubt
- when the guys ex girlfriend comes back from overseas and even though he likes a new girl he gets back with the ex. (this makes me furious)
- when a female character starts off strong then turns into a weak idiot becoming obsessed with the guy to the point she loses her self.

Although I understand the need and ultimate value of those scenes, at the time they make me want to pull my hair out. Just a few more seconds is what I always think. But I guess those scenes are what make the ending of the dramas so much more worth it.

OMG i know exactly what you mean!

I know the topic is Kdrama, but your post reminds me of one of my favourite movies from Hong Kong - Turn Left Turn Right. The whole movie is about just missing the other person. If you haven't watched it, I recommend it for the clever use of this concept in the storyline.

This reminds of an American movie that does the similar thing, where the entire movie consists of missed opportunities. I think it's called Serendipity if I remember correctly.

yes it is serendipity: a good movie.
I'm just watching a korean drama and i remembred a cliché that bother me a lot: it's when somebody, even a girl punch another person, there's always some blood on the lips so the punched person did this movement with his hand and verify there's really blood, then the blood stopped magically.
Whenever i see it, i want to scream: you're a man for god sake, it's some blood, what's there to verify. It's something we don't see much in american action movies for example, despite the number of punches the actor take.
K-drama cliches:
1. If there are two brothers (or two sisters) in one family, they ALWAYS fall for the same person.
2. If you are in a bad situation, in danger, closed somewhere, injured somewhere in the woods... or just lost... your phone ALWAYS does not work. And even if it is working, you will not call 911, but the guy/girl you like ^_^
3. There is always some great friend from childhood who loves the main character (but the mains are sooo slow and stupid that they would never relize it), but the friend will never tell the main how he/she feels until the main meets "the right person".
i remembered another one ..

why is it THE MAIN DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN .. and anyone can just enter the house :O

oh yes that's true.
There's another cliché i remembred: korean people seemed to solve all their quarrels by the game of scissors, paper, rock
