Drama Suggestion

Hello everyone, I am new here. I would like to find a drama to watch hopefully you could assist me in choosing. 

Thank you in advance. Help will be much appreciated. :)

I have watched several Korean Dramas already and here are my remarks:

1) Gu Family Book - I don't like supernatural stuff, especially werewolves, but it had some brilliant moments. P.S. The female lead - Bae Su-Ju is too brilliant. How can somebody be so flawless in a movie...

2) Queen In Hyun's Man - Everything was great with this show, but female lead was a bit stupid. 

3) Faith - It was great, but nothing memorable. Would watch something similar of course. 

4) Playful Kiss - Well, the male actor is a jerk and female is unintelligent. But it had some lovely moments. 

5) Rooftop Prince - Only thing I liked about this was that veiled girl from Joseon Era.

6) Scarlet Heart - It was not too bad, and I did not like the last few series. 

So based on these I would like to add some requirements:

1. Would be nice if it is historical.

2. Would be nice if there are no jerks and main characters show some intelligence(applies to women) and care(applies to men) for others.

3. No womanizers! Main character should not be a womanizer or an emperor/prince with concubines. And I prefer girl to be chaste as well. 

4. Not too much sci-fi, only thing I like is time-travel. I prefer not seeing something with magic and ghosts.

5. Lovely Romance but also some other plot. Most of Romance plots are very slow. It is nice to have some action as well. 

6. Intelligence from main characters is more than welcome, not just lovely hugs. :)

I highly suggest you The Painter of the Wind! I loved it and it has about everything you're looking for ^^

Iwyn - Thanks a lot. :) But it does not look like it involves Romance right? Mentor and student friendship is brilliant though.

Ok I just finished watching Sunkyungkwan Scandal. Well, that girl was too smart actually, which is good of course but still wasn't expecting that in a drama. In overall it made a fine evening for me but it's not a high-quality drama at all. It is like a good movie that creates a lovely night for you. But thank you for sharing of course. :)

I'm pretty easily pleased... However here's a few suggestions:

Historical - Empress Ki or Chuno 
Cute/Romance - Oh my Ghost ( although it does involve the supernatural)
Cute/Romance - The Prime Minister and I - Love Rain - Protect the Boss - Full House ( you may not like it- but I watched it for the RAIN element) -Fated to love you

I would suggest "The Moon That Embraces the Sun". There is a tiny bit of magic but I wouldn't call it a supernatural drama. I think it fits perfectly all your requirements.
Painter of the wind is or isn't romance depending on how you fell watching it. But clearly, it is one of the best period dramas. Very beautiful in my opinion. It won quite a lot of awards after its broadcast. Whether it fits your criterias or not this time, you should put it on your plan-to-watch list.

mamadrama - Thank you for the suggestions. Well, "Love Rain" has a stupid plot because of the ending. I don't like people sacrificing things because of stupid dogmas. "Oh my Ghost" looks exactly the type of thing I would not like. I prefer series with more or less chaste women. "The Prime Minister and I" looks like it's about an emperor with concubines, but I will take a look. I will also have a look at "Full House".

Mirichan - Thank you for the suggestion but I don't seem to like it at first sight even though it does not look bad.
