That's what I was thinking too. The Japanese man did seem like he was smitten with her when she braved assaulting JKW in front of everyone. And the smile she gave was like "Finally we meet again..." But maybe I'm reading too much into it...lol And it's about time Wol Ryung woke up.

i spent like 12 hours watching this drama from epi 1- epi 12 and i must say it is very fun to watch. There's just a bunch of reasons why you should watch this: great acting by almost all the characters. i think, the male lead role is performed excellently. I love how Lee Seung Gi delivers variety of emotions as expected from an Ace actor like him. The story line is well presented except I think at the beginning where Wol Ryung dies through simple human weapon such as a sword. I think, the story has to include some supernatural element like a silver bullet for fighting werewolves or pure luck by certain characters that enables us to accept why Wol Ryung could die. Just a thought. Anyway, he dies in the story so we'll just have to shallow that. The rest of the plot is okay. I just hate the fact that they seem to be so helpless despite having a General on their side against a retired minister. Thus, the whole treason thing seems to be too one-sided during when the adoptive parents were killed. However, later on this last episode (epi. 12) the power struggle is being waged as the General declares for a "war". Anyway, I am excited to watch the rest of the episodes, I hope they come very soon. I love the acting, the story and the element of the male gumiho spectacle within the scenario of the drama. Rate: 9 points!

one reason i dont believe ms mystery lady is the mother is because .... when you look at the cast list the mother is listed as a guest role while the father is listed as a supporting role. Just think if the mother was to play a bigger part she would be listed as a support rather than a guest :x
