Villains as Protagonist of the Drama?

how are they villains??? just for few rude moments, cheating gf or school bulling?



I can't understand, why so many people think city hunter as "bad guy", this drama/ML is fail as revenge and bad guy type, he is like puppy, I think Lee min ho was bad choice, he is super handsome but he is sweet guy, he can't play mean rude or cruel character, not even revenge type guy...

for example ML in "smile hes left your eyes" is perfect type for that kind character, he just has this dark charisma,

and I specifically noted that I was providing a list of "Dark, morally grey, or evil" MLs. Some are genuinely villainous / evil (e.g. the ML in Misty). Some are just "bad guys" in a much looser sense of the phrase (e.g. just morally grey in some way). And some of them are somewhere in between.

In one episode of the Rise of Phoenixes, for example, the ML threatens to kill the FL in a moment of anger at one point, suggests that the FL enter a dangerous situation that furthers his goal and ends up with him shooting her in the leg with an arrow to get her out of the way so he can kill his target, and frequently fights with the FL about the people he kills / wants to kill / is okay with killing while pursuing his goal of "eradicating all evil" / avenging his mother and brother.
