as much as i agree with your assment of our male leads goldenseal50, i have to ask, have you ever seen any other korean dramas? in a country where dragging a girl around like you're a cave man is seen as romatic Young Do and Tan are pretty par for the course. Tan reminds me alot of Joo Won in secret garden only Tan's still in highschool so he still does shit like tell he should date him if she wants to get along well at school and "pull her hair"
speaking of which i've seen people freaking out (not here really) like "OMO!!! he pulled her hair!! he's so abusive!" calm yourselves. he did not yank on her hair. he put his hand on a freaking hair elastic and pulled it out a lot more gently than most girls would themselves.
as for park shin hye (i actually liked her in FBND, not b/c of anyhitng she did but b/c of how the character was written, but that's a different post) the mewling and standing there looking upset while things happen around her is what she does best unfortunately.
both totally expected
at least Young Do is deliciously evil. you know he's a tool, you know you shouldnt like him, but damn if he isn't hot. there is something biologically and primordially attractive about an alpha male, esp when he's so damn pretty. While this archetype is not uncommon in korean drama for a second male lead it is extremely uncommon and it's uncommon for it to be done so well. i've long suspected that kim woo bin himself is a little psycho and would chew through your ankle if the nescesity arose.
