Did anyone notice Chan Young and Bo Na couple? I think they're the cutest in this drama and a huge reason to keep watching.
They are a cute couple, but the real reason i'm still watching is because of Kim Woo Bin. His Choi Yeong Do is just perfect and sexy and he's one of the few in this cast who doesn't have a frozen face all episodes long. And at the end of episode 10 I was like : "FINALLY !!!"
There is something I don't get from this drama. So the mother is a maid for an extremely rich family, and the daughter works like 3 part time jobs, right? They live with the mother's boss and therefore have no bills to pay, they don't even need to buy food. Why is it that they're so poor and can't afford a small place? Also, why are so many of you rooting for Kim Woo Bin? I get it that you like him because he's supposedly hot and a good actor and whatnot, but doesn't anyone else see how much of an ass his character is even compared to Lee Min Ho's? I see no reason whatsoever for his character to be even slightly liked. This is coming from someone who isn't a fan of either of the actors, so no bias.

if i remember correctly in the drama they did a background search of her family and they have a huge debt from her father and also the sister took alot of their money
Yeah, the father ended up in a hospital and because of the fees they have debts to pay until now. And of course because of the sister who always needed money. What I didn't really get was when the secretary visited the chairman in the hospital. The part where he asks him why he sent Cha Eun Sang to the school. The chairman then told him about the mother, the debts and that Eun Sang will hear many reasons why not to be with Tan. Why would he say that? It's not like he knows about them. Is he planning something? Idk... that was just confusing for me XD

I'm of the same opinion... I really don't like Young Dos personality :(
The debt explains it, I either forgot or didn't pay attention. Or maybe it's just because deep down I'm just trying to find flaws.

That's because Tans father saw the photo of Tan and Eun Sang (from L.A. and from Seol-in front of Eun Sangs 1st school).

Oh yeah, you are right! I totally forgot about that :)
Choi Young Do IS an ass, but his character has more depth than most Kdrama characters and he's a surprisingly good actor. I don't think anyone seriously wants Eun Sang to end up with Young Do, its just that he's entertaining to watch. Though, I must admit that have played with the idea of them ending up together...just a little. ;)

The chairman does know what both his sons are doing because the secretary gave him pictures and other information.
Young do is a violent bully I wouldn't wish on any woman and Tan is selfish and possive. If Eun sang is smart she will get away from both of them. I can't believe these actors read the script before they signed on for this show. Lee Min Ho acts like he is asleep. I didn't like Park Shin Hye playing this type of character in that boring Flower Boy story either. And her make up artist needs to apply some blush. She just looks sick all the time.
as much as i agree with your assment of our male leads goldenseal50, i have to ask, have you ever seen any other korean dramas? in a country where dragging a girl around like you're a cave man is seen as romatic Young Do and Tan are pretty par for the course. Tan reminds me alot of Joo Won in secret garden only Tan's still in highschool so he still does shit like tell he should date him if she wants to get along well at school and "pull her hair" speaking of which i've seen people freaking out (not here really) like "OMO!!! he pulled her hair!! he's so abusive!" calm yourselves. he did not yank on her hair. he put his hand on a freaking hair elastic and pulled it out a lot more gently than most girls would themselves. as for park shin hye (i actually liked her in FBND, not b/c of anyhitng she did but b/c of how the character was written, but that's a different post) the mewling and standing there looking upset while things happen around her is what she does best unfortunately. both totally expected at least Young Do is deliciously evil. you know he's a tool, you know you shouldnt like him, but damn if he isn't hot. there is something biologically and primordially attractive about an alpha male, esp when he's so damn pretty. While this archetype is not uncommon in korean drama for a second male lead it is extremely uncommon and it's uncommon for it to be done so well. i've long suspected that kim woo bin himself is a little psycho and would chew through your ankle if the nescesity arose.
Guys remember this is dramaland everything is possible the bad ass Young Do the better for the drama.. most of the fans are more into bad boy.
Young Do only behaving that way because he want to make Kim Tan crazy mad. But he doesnt mean for Eung Sang to be in the middle.. + He Likes her and he worries for her, if thats the only chance to be next to her and to get her attention he probably taking all the bad boy just to be with her... [pls watch the first time they met, he was trying his best not to wake her up and made the little boy cries instead]
I dont have a special affection for either both male actor. So far this drama way too funny and interesting. Im liking all the female cast they are feisty in so many ways... & this drama is way too fast look its already epi 10...

must be the high expectation of a good story from secret garden writer
