Jeaniessi- I think by psycho boy you're referring to Young Do and I totally agree- in terms of how he talks to her, he's never been as controlling or rude to Eun Sang as Tan who talks to her like a slightly unhinged and controlling father. I agree that the relationship in Playful Kiss was incredibly dysfunctional and the message it sent was warped and totally not romantic. I mean, screw your self worth or dignity but chase a guy and stalk him until he goes from hating you to meh yeah sure whatever? I can't believe they made a whole show based on that premise. But in terms of entertainment value, at least the actors had some chemistry which made them interesting to watch and believable as a couple (even though I can't imagine a real life couple like them ever being happy). But with Heirs, on top of depicting an unhealthy relationship as romance, the romance isn't even believable. Park Shin Hye's body language around Lee Min Ho screams "get away from me" which makes it impossible for me to buy them as a pairing. She seems pained around him and not in a iloveyousomuchithurts way but more yousmellbad way. Sigh- whatever.
i wasnt the only one who thought it looked like she REALLY did not want him to kiss her in the linen closet right?

There were more sparks flying when Young Do tripped her than all three of their crap arse kisses combined.
That closet kiss looked like Eun Sang was being molested. It was awkward, ill-timed and evoked no emotion in me whatsoever. God forbid they had cast the supporting actors as anyone but themselves otherwise I would have had to drop this drama. Smh.
She did have a disgusted, grossed out, full on panicked expression in that scene which in turn made me feel disgusted. I think I shuddered and closed my eyes because I couldn't keep on watching. That must have been one of the worst kiss scenes ever in the history of Kdramas and that's something considering how many sucky "kiss" scenes there are in Kdrama land. When Young Do finds her and gives her that hug... That had more chemistry than those uninspiring kiss scenes with Tan.
Yeah, Young Do and her share way more chemistry, and Kim Tan is just plainly molesting her. She's making a big mistake. She's just with Kim Tan because whenever she rejects him he's acting out and show the world how unhappy he is and makes her feel guilty about it. Young Do has the decency to let her choose without trying to prey on her compassion. BTW : in episode 18, Young Do had me cry of frustration. I don't think I've ever had such a Second Lead Syndrom before. Park Shin Hye, I know you've got nothing to do with the line you've been given, but from now on I hate you...
ahaha PSH just needs to let go, i see no love in her eyes ... all i see is a very tired girl full of frustration atm i am liking the semi bromance and i never said this before in any drama since they use to be the most annoying characters but i miss the mothers

Like you I VERY RARELY have 2nd lead syndrome. But now that its hit me with Young Do... it has hit me SO HARD. So hard that its hard to muster up any of the emotion for the main love story here. I have written my own story in my head that has been playing since the first time Young Do watched Eun Sang sit down at the table out side the convenience store. I havent been able to look back since.
I am ready for this drama to end even if things became much interesting lately.
if i was young do i would have punched Tan in his face!!! wait, he did. but not for what he should have. when Tan's all "you can have her."
F%@k you buddy!!! you have gone and screwed up just about everything that could be screwed up and now , now that you're unhappy NOW you wanna give up!!!!!!!! and the writers of this drama need to be punched in the face as well. there was no need for Young Do's dad to be all cool like "you can date her if you want." that destroys me b/c then i imagine "what if Eun Sang had a personality and she dated Young Do and she wouldnt have had all these problem's b/c Young Do's dad is too busy banging cougars to care!" that's just a tease and it's not nice to tease people.

HMPH!!!!!
Has anyone notice how the immediate leading male figures in this drama are all tall, dark and handsome. Kim Tan, Young Do and Kim Tan's brother are catching my attention. Young Do with his sweet smile, Kim Tan with penetrating graze and the brother with deep voice. I think the writer was trying to have us over look the actual plot, and fall in movie with the actors. In the case of the male figures young do takes lead, then kim tan second and the brother third. As for the female roles Kim Tan's mother and Bo Na are my favorite because Eun Sung is real disappointing me at times with the constant crying.

Your post/rant made me laugh but I do agree, it's a bit chaotic now.
I'm perplexed by how thye've handled Choi Jin Hyuk (Won) earlier this year he FLOORED everybody in Gu family book with his acting and his...ahem, other attributes. the lack of screen time for one of their biggest guns makes no sense
I just posted up a review on the Heirs page to let everyone know to not invest too much time and energy into the main couple and to pay attention to the supporting characters, and of course THE WOO. Word needs to get out so others aren't as horribly disappointed as we are. I gave it a 6. I know, I know, 2 eps out and I submit a review but hell we KNOW how this is going to end; the main couple riding off into the sunset with 'LUUURVE IS DER MOMEEEENT' playing in the background. Done.
Speaking of Gu Family Book, I think I've fallen for Kim Woo Bin the way I fell for Lee Seung-Gi...those acting skills are so >>>>>> I also feel like word needs to get out about this drama if not for the soul reason of exposing the world to the greatness that is Kim Woo Bin. This is definitely a breakout year for him and I HOPE with everything that he gets cast as the lead next time.
