i'm convinced that the girl that plays jan di is actually an early model terminator. whenever she tries to show emotion it's slightly off and then she has that super weird not made of flesh face...{{shudder}} she creeps me out worse than willam dafoe.

i too enjoyed bof in context, and i'm enjoying heirs the same way. it's not SUPPOSED to be deep and artsy.

Tan's mom is rather enjoyable to watch

i too find them less "demons from hell" and more "flawed humans"

True but in this case Young Do may just absolutely deserve the crushing he gets. OMO Such a B@$tard. Just finished episode 6 and woah... My fevered musings of Bad Boy Redeemed may be a bit misplaced. (But I still want it down deep)
Heirs is crashing DF again. I find this quite funny.
Sorry guys, as much as I like Kim Woo Bin, it's hard for me to ship them,. I mean Kim Tan is way more loveable in terms of character, he and Eun Sang has started in much deeper way in terms of relationship. I thought that in Young Do's point of view, he only sees her as a way to piss off Kim Tan because he knew there was something between those two. I ship Young Do for Rachel, lol. This drama is always being compared to BOF but the only similar thing those two had was the main lead was a chaebol and the girl was poor and they are all on the prestigious school. That's it. And I liked BOF as it is. So far, I'm liking this drama, I like how the writer is trying hard to differentiate the drama from HYD (it's always being compared to it) as much as possible. Maybe the strength of this drama is also the weakness of this drama. I want the writer to concentrate on something; either the family thing, the traumatic friendship, the lead protecting the girl but it has so many characters to develop that's why I think it's lagging in pace. I like this drama, I am enjoying it but I really, really want to LOVE it. xD
Not alone in missing grown men playing HS rich kids-again. Let's see what winter brings

is everyone else watchingi this on DF too? i'm watching this on dramaholic
What is DF? :D :D :D I am watching it on gooddrama
Hulu has it as well if you don't mind commercials (I do.) I still haven't decided if I should continue. I watched the first episode and it did nothing for me. I really didn't like Boys over Flowers and it looks like a carbon copy from the first episode. Opinions?
Less happens in Heirs than in BOF, it's a very watered down version of BOF
Hmm, I also watched BOF and I thought it wasn't so great either. But I enjoy watching Heirs so far. You can watch some more episodes and then you will know for sure if you like it or not. :)

I find the scary hierarchy and the leading man very similar to BBF (Because it's Lee Min Ho. I call it Boys Before Barfing...I dropped it) I really don't find anything else that similar. It is worlds more toned down. The way they speak sounds like Beverly Hills 90210. Everyone acting like jaded adults and speaking like no teen ever spoke. There are some aspects to it I do enjoy. Esp. Sociopath Boy...He intrigues me. What does that say? Don't ask.

I have only watched the first episode, but I am assuming you are talking about Woo Bin. He's so lovably bad that I can completely understand without even watching.

He's a total sociopath. LOL He's fun to watch. He's like all those cold rich Chaebols but in a surprising twist...really doesn't have a heart down deep inside. At least I don't think so. This show isn't perfect but it has these weird little creative and fun moments. Like the Mom in the bathroom imitating "The Housemaid" scene. That was funny.
I'm not really sure why people are still comparing it to BOF (BBF), it's nothing alike except that it's a HS drama with LMH. His character is no where near the same, he's a chaebol who doesn't want to be and a bastard one at that. He loves a brother who hates him, has friends who are enemies, and is upfront and honest about liking PSH's character right off the bat. None of the long wait for someone to admit feelings, none of the cruel antics, as a matter of fact he's been very considerate and behind the scene nice. I just wanted to point these things out... I'm constantly reading how everyone is going to or has compared this to BoF and after ep 1 I don't see how. On a personal note about Heirs, I LOVE the OST, the acting by some of the characters is just amazing, the cast is more than just for looks, and PSH is killing it... girl knows how to do a crying scene so you feel it.
