Hello, I am currently doing a university research project on Korean drama subtitles and would love your input within the next two weeks.

Click here for the survey link.

Please forward this to anyone else you think might be interested. I need as many responses as I can get.

Thank you so much, Jill.

Just filled the survey. Don't forget to post the result later.

Also done. You should also add an option "Something else", sometimes it was hard to select one of offered ones. ;-)

only took 2-3 min :)

Curious to what people preferred.

I wanted literal translation, like "oppa" instead of "brother" or "<the name>".

I also like extra explanations, like viki provides sometimes.

I also think that words like "oppa", "omma", "ajumma", etc. don't need translation. And it is also a bit confusing when a girl says "oppa" and in translation is some name.

I like subs to be simpler (without extra explanations), because I also want to watch what happens on the screen, not only be reading subtitles. :) Subs should be accurate, but simple, in correct grammar and to not look like google translated.
