I'm looking for dark romance or taboo relationship drama that isn't a fluffy romance but has intense chemistry between the leads and sexual tension. Teacher/student, incest whatever i don't mind the triggers. Some of my favorites are

Secret love

Love & fortune

Kenja no ai

Kimi ga Kokoro ni Sumitsuita

Shijukara

No Chinese dramas please because idk what it is maybe it's the censorship but a lot of their "intense" romance shows are just awkward but if you think there's a show that can change my mind feel free to rec that. You can also check on my ptw to see which show i should start.

and regarding Chinese dramas I'd recommend Story of Kunning Palace. It's not taboo and the romance is slow burn but very dark, intense, strong chemistry, realistic kissing, etc.

Incest:

My Sister, My Love (real siblings)

Like-incest:

The Rise of Ning (once half-sibling but she's not her father's child)

Bunny Drop (once aunt-nephew but the aunt is younger but in the end she's not his granpa's daughter)

Teacher-student:

Falling into You (athlete-trainer)

Dark:

Goodbye My Princess (ml killed fl's grandpa, indirectly 'cause her ehm mom probably suicide, the whole tribe in a mess, causing her to suicide, making her enter his harem and so on)

Kleun Cheewit (fl killed ml's fiancee)

My Sunshine (ml force fl to marry him, torture her with words but sometimes with action, won't sleep with her, fl's dad indirectly cause ml's dad death)

  • Byakuyakou
  • Kuzu no honkai
  • Sora kara furu ichioku no hoshi
  • Sore demo ikite yuku
  • Que sera sera

Secret Love Affair - She is his teacher, married and quite a bit older. But their romance moments? absolutely golden.

Somebody - tbh both are kinda psychos. He is a killer, she is a genius. It's a strange mix between them but they have a great chemistry. Very toxic though but if you are into the arthouse genre you will very much enjoy it.
The Uncle - this one follows kinda Somebody, though it does not fully have a romance between them per say. He is her uncle, she is disabled. But there is a lot more to the story and truly they have a great chemistry. However again arthouse style, so lots of motives and psychological aspects.

The Confidence there's a whole lot of chemistry and sexual tension, they also are forced into close quarters, but it never becomes more because he's always a danger for her life.  The show is actually more a mystery, not really a romance. But there is this troubling sexual current between them.

Thank for the recommendation.

Would you mind telling me where can I find, on MDL, the way to put a spoiler tag, like you are doing  here?  Or how do you do it? Thank you :)

In the Reply box you have a toolbar. In the second line, the last icon is an exclamation mark in a dark triangle (like a danger sign). That's the spoiler button.

Nice list you've got there thanks

Ones that came to mind:

  • Before We Get Married  ML's sudden appearance in FL's life makes her doubt her relationship (which is unhealthy anyway because she's constantly making sacrifices to meet her partner's demands).
  • Kleun Cheewit  Someone else mentioned this earlier. It fits your criteria for taboo. FL accidentally kills ML's fiancée  in a car accident while FL was drugged by her stepfather who wanted to have sex with her.
  • Liar and Liar: Surechigau Koi These felt dark to me. Just the vibe.
  • Long Time No See  The taboo is that they're from different gangs. Mini-series.
  • Love Mechanics Not sure this fits but it's super angsty and I love it. Mark likes Bar, who's dating Kan. Mark keeping bugging Bar anyway, so Vee tells him off. Mark drinks his sorrows away and Vee ends up taking him home. Mark mistakes Vee for Bar and they have a one-night stand, which must have been awesome because Vee won't leave Mark alone, even though Vee is dating Ploy. And Ploy is not innocent so no one is blameless, except Bar and Kan.
  • My Lethal Man  ML finally finds Zhuang Xin Yan, but she dies that same day protecting her doppelganger Shen Man Ning (FL). ML forces FL to take Zhuang Xin Yan's identity and become his fiancée. What icked people out (spoiler): Zhuang Xin Yan was ML's actual sister, so viewer's were icked out that he would fall for someone who looked exactly like his sister. It wasn't a problem for me since they had been separated for so many years and ML would not have associated that face with sisterly affection.
  • My Stand-In: Uncut So messed up in so many ways, I don't even know where to begin.
  • Unknown Not sure if Wei Zhi Yuan was formally adopted into Wei Qian's family, unlikely since that would have cost money they didn't have. Zhi Yuan develops feelings for his Gēgē and Qian sends him away.
