Now that I've my exams, I have four months of doing nothing but watch dramas. Any recommendations? I love all genres, except melodramas. And I would also like to be hooked from the first episode, this is really important because I have no patience at all aha! This is to fill in the time, inbetween currently airing dramas so please dont recommend them because I will be watching them. I'm especially into rom-coms, police crime and sageuks no matter how long or cliched it is. But mostly importantly it can get me hooked from episode 1. Thanks :)xx
Big! I've only watched the first 4 episodes, but I'm already hooked :) It's really funny and I love watching the two main characters ;)
prosecutor princess Kimi wa Petto (japanese drama... there is a korean movie as well of it) Minami-kun no koibito (2004) tree with deep roots
From my limited experience in dramas, I'd recommend you What's Up Fox - but only if you have no problem with older woman - younger guy kind of story. I'm easily bored too and have no patience with those long beginnings in k-dramas, so this one was great for me because got me hooked right from the first episode. Plus, it is just hilarious sometimes and main actors have great chemistry.
I've seen Prosecutor Princess (First few episodes bored me and I skipped to the end - to me it wasnt worth it, thanks for the rec anyways)and You Are My Pet was a good movie but dont think I'll last watching the drama haha! I'm so picky despite my love for all genres I'm not interested in noona love but I really liked oh my lady so I might watch that :)
So from your plan to watch list I recommend: 9 End 2 Outs - An amazing rom-com. It's about older people in their early 30s but it's a universal love story between two best friends. It also seems as if you watched Dream High 2 but not Dream High, Dream High is way better than Dream High 2 in my opinion. I was a bit hesitant to watch this drama but it hooked me in right from the first episode. Plus Kim Soo Hyun is in it. <3 Haha I cant seem to think of anything else because all the dramas that I like you gave lower scores for and all the dramas which I didn't really like you gave high scores for. We seem to have different tastes in rom-com dramas.

Hahaha I'll look at 9 Ends 2 Outs
I didnt like Dream High 2 at all...was pointless! I watched 3 episodes of Dream High and gave up...I might revisit it for Kim Soo Hyun <3
HAHA then recommend me your low rated ones aha!
Alright then let's see try... My Name is Kim Sam Soon - a lot of people like this one, but again its a more mature type of romance about a girl in her 30s who can't find a man who loves her. The female lead of I Do, I Do plays the main role here. Oh and Hyun Bin is in it as an added bonus <3 Fated To Love You - I actually love this drama but I have a feeling you may too. It does start to drag a bit in the middle but then it picks up again. But the beginning... trust me... will hook you right in. My Girl - I'm looking at your list dumbfounded that you have never watched this drama... Why haven't you watched this drama?? Go watch it right now. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - Another must watch. This drama is hilarious. I had previously given it a lower score, but then I watched it again just a month ago and realized what a fool I was. It has everything in it, having four cute/hot guys in it is just another added bonus. I seem to have recommended some dramas that I like again... but then again they are dramas that are generally liked by most people so give them a shot :P But I'm sure you'll like one of them.
I've seen Fated To Love You...and yep..I loved it surprisingly...it did drag but ending made up for it I've been meaning to see My Girl, love Lee Jun Ki, but I cannot stand the female lead. I've seen 1 episode...so I think I'll revisit that too AHAHA I seen most of YNSH...but I seem to have forgotten to finish it LOL I considered Kim Sam Soon, since it seems to be a classic but been putting it off cos the plot seemed to predictable but I will eventually get to it aha!
Since you mentioned police crime, I'd recommend Strawberry Night, which throws you in the story without unnecessary introductions of the characters: it starts with the first crime. It's truly gripping, but beware, it's also graphic, now and then.
Same can be said about BOSS, which also has a lot of interesting profiling and a great female lead, and on the more hilarious side - but still very gripping - is Mr Brain. :)

I agree with this! What's Up Fox is a GREAT drama!
I'm so envious of you! I still live under the shadow of writing my master thesis (it kills me) I can't wait when I'll be carefree and able to watch dramas without guilt... Anyway...Some suggestions:

Bloody Monday - it's super intense, I really enjoyed it.
Code Blue - well it's about doctors, it doesn't have much romance, but it has a lot of action, and it's really well done.
Down with love- a rom-com, it's quite cute, and the leads did good job, but you'll want to kill the evil ex in this one.
First Kiss (jdrama)- I go around recommending this one, because I really like the love story in it, Inue Mao was quite sassy here too.
Ghost Friends- I don't know why, but it really got me hooked at some point, and emotional later. There was just something extremely good about the leads interaction.
Hot Shot - some sport (with funny special effects), some love, bromance, and Show Lou
Hungry! - I watched it in one night, it was quite good
Juui Dolittle- I know, it's about veterinary doctors, but I'd watch everything with Oguri Shun in it, and this one was surprisingly good, not much romance though.
Kimi wa Petto - a good and original romance
Liar Game- it's weird, but it's good, and the second season is even better
Love Shuffle- funny and original rom-com
My Girl - it might be typical, but it still a fun rom-com - well, you wrote you're fine with cliches.
Nazatoki wa dinner no ato de- if you like criminal mysteries, and I never liked Keiko before I'd watched this drama, now I do.
Nodame Cantabile- best drama ever! well... at least in my opinion, but please do try it.
Skip Beat!- personally I really liked it - especially middle episodes
TOKYO dogs- comedy, action and Oguri Shun again, there is even a bit of romance
Yankee-kun to Megane-chan- funny high school drama
Yume wo Kanaeru Zo- a bit weird, quite unknown, but I liked it so much that I watched it twice already

I hope you'll be able to choose something to suit your taste, have a fun summer. And please do go out sometimes, don't watch dramas ALL the time ;)
You have watched a lot more then me but here are a few on my list that I really liked but didn't see on your list.
Full House: The lead women's house is sold by her friends to a movie star and she enters a marriage contract with him to get her house back.
Kimi Wa Petto: The original jdrama version of You're my pet. I saw this one first and thought it was a lot better then the kmovie. There was a lot of stuff they left out in the movie which weakened the story.
My Rainy Days: really good jmovie about a high school girl who is an escort and a older man she falls in love with. It is not a light hearted movie. I shed quite a few tears watching this.
Delightful Girl Choon Hyang: I am currently watching this one and so far it is quite good.
LIFE: jdrama about bulling in school. This one of my favorite dramas. I watched all 11 episodes in one night.
Zettai Kareshi: This is the original version of Absolute Boyfriend. This drama had me laughing and cry.
