Not only 'friends' but they can also be partners/co-workers/traveling companions etc, most important thing is they have a very comfortable buddy-buddy relationship, but then both (or one) of them started acting or showing some sign that makes you wonder whether they really think of each other as only friend or not. See, I don't want it to be very obvious to the viewers that s/he likes the other 'that' way, I prefer some tension (and subtext). And it doesn't really matter whether they end up together in the end or not. Other requirements:
  • NO one party pining over the other to the point s/he has zero love life
  • NO pretend to be enjoying their time together when s/he's actually hurting inside (because of their one-sided love etc). It makes their friendship feels less genuine
  • NO 2 guys 1 girl love triangle (2 girls 1 guy LT is fine, even better if the other girl is a respectable character and not a b!tch)
  • Male x female pairing only
Examples, probably Keizoku (1999) and Keizoku SPEC. They're both detective shows but I'm open to other genres rec. I'm also open to secondary/side couples. Thank you~
Hm, maybe Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou? It was definitely not obvious but I started wondering about them. Also Dinner, I liked that.
Or Trick? :)
