There are a few crime/ thriller genre here. Sorry about that but they are my absolute favorite. I have marked the romance based dramas (*).  HOPE YOU LIKE THEM!!!

P.S: Like you, I hate female lead who has nothing better to do other than make stupid decision. I prefer strong female leads.
