Either the ML or FL is completely OP and nobody is his or her match at all.  I've read a few romance novels-to-drama where the FL is totally OP in the novel but once they turn it into a drama for TV all the OP is lost-so disappointing.

What means OP?

I guess OP stands for Opposite

What example of OP?

Can Kdrama Hyena be considered FL OP?

Can Kdrama Hyena be considered FL OP?

An OP protagonist is someone that is nearly impossible for others to beat; they have very few weaknesses (if they have any at all).

Some examples would be Saitama from OPM, Sakamoto from Sakamoto Desu Ga?, or Koro-Sensei from Assassination Classroom.

I don't really know of any dramas that 100% commit to a character being OP. The closest I can think of right now is the ML from A Korean Odyssey, FL from Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,  and the ML from Goblin.  As I said, they still don't fit the requirements perfectly.

I'm here for answers too. LOL!

Thank you!!

When you say overpowered, do you mean in terms of fighting skills?  Or any type of skills?

You might like Nodame Cantabile (there's an anime and a drama, but I prefer the drama).  The main character is good at playing piano (not the best in the world, but he's very good compared to other students).

If you don't mind an anime recommendation, you might like Ah! My Goddess!  It's about a romance between a person and a goddess.

If it has to be fighting skills, you might like the anime Katanagatari.  It's more action than romance, but there is some romance between the two main characters, and the male is overpowered.

What's Wrong With Secretary Kim - Both are the top of their game, although the male lead is definitely more OP

Love O2O - Same, both are OP

My Love From Another Star -Male lead is an OP alien

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho - Just as the title says, OP FL

I know what you're looking for since this is my favourite type of dramas/books/whatever. I mean - really, reaaaaaaaally OP male lead. You need to try the ones I suggest. BTW - all have happy endings, if you're interested, I do not watch bad ending series.

ML wreacks havoc both with fists and brains and no one is even close to him (Saitama style ones or Shiba Tatsuya style ones, lots of hand to hand combat and badassery everywhere):

1. The K2 (2016) - the best of all - just starts slowly and he doesn't seem so OP but he really is, just give it some time, you're gonna love it and he will be solving all the problems around, kicking butts in every episode even a couople of times, outsmarting everyone etc.;
2. Healer (2014) - same actor, a bit less advanced fighting but still pretty OP and badass in general - just not as extremely badass as in K2, there're fights here too though, a lot of them, no one is even a match for him in any field and there's a great story. It's just that fighting scenes in K2 do not compare to anything in any drama, it's a total masterpiece of action + romance at the same time - in Healer fights are just good, sometimes also very good - a problem is comparising them with a godlike title of K2, not the quality of Healer fights themselves. Anyway, in Healer he punched almost everyone you'd personally think deserves punching at least once - including even a SML - a potential love rival, who turned out not to be the love rival at all but the ML still gave him a beating twice and once was in a very good, martial arts style like from K2 (those beatings were not because of love rivalry but for another reason); the story here is very, very good too - K2 has a good story but this is deeper and better written while K2 is just a more amazing show;
3. Lawless Lawyer (2018) - as good as K2 in terms of action and as good as Healer in terms of story, very similar type of character, a lot of fighting, his greatest enemy is generally equal to him but he wrecks everyone else through the whole show, in the end he also kicks ass of his nemesis, he barely wins but still wins and still wrecks some asses later; BTW - there's a nice scene when both greatest enemies are at the hospital, the ML is almost dying from wounds but they join forces to escape and cut through around 50-100 guys on their way down with the ML bleeding from a wound while still being able to match his rival badassery; BTW2 - he's a smart guy with cunning tactics too, it's even hard to say if he's better as a lawyer or as a fighter.

ML is very strong, there're a couple of badass scenes through the whole show but it's not the main point - however, watching them is a pleasure:
1. The King: Eternal Monarch (2020) - I was surprised with a couple of fighting scenes here;
2. Love Me If You Dare (2015) you may be tricked by the ending because  this drama differs from the original book by not explaining that he really isn't a bad guy, he doesn't have a dual personality - producers just decided to tease a 2nd season by unnecessary scene at the end of the last episode, which brings confusion but Chinese dramas are like that, it repeats from one to another;
3. You Who Came from the Stars (2013) - a couple of badass scenes, he's not directly fighting because he doesn't even need to, he would be able to beat the whole planet by clicking his fingers if he wanted to, there's a happy ending and a couople of scenes where he shows how badass he is in times of need;
4. He Is Psychometric (2019) - it doesn't seem like that but both leads manage to kick ass a couple of times, which may be surprising, when they work together they're unbeatable - only the beginning doesn't suggest it since the first 1/3 displays him more like a funny, loser character but the second half of the show changes it all and explains that he's actually very strong both in his special power, helping others at his own cost so he seems like a loser because of that etc. The surprising thing is that they literally kick the whole building of asses here, I did not expect it at all for them to be so good in physical fighting;

ML is very strong through 2/3 of the show, then he almost dies because of a trap but he's saved by his love and in general - he's strong all the time:
1. When a Snail Falls in Love (2016) - there's a bit of confusion here since some people think he died at the end and that the happy ending was only in mind of his lover but it's not really the case - I am sure of that because it's another 2nd season tease with a dead body bringing unnecessary confusion as the last scene of the last episode. Chinese directors just love doing this stuff, it's always only a tease and if the 2nd season appears, then we learn that everything is ok, it was just the hint that some criminal case remains unsolved etc.

Comedies - something like One Punch Man but live-action where the ML is crazily OP, they're quite touchy and emotional here and there, especially GTO under disguise of fun and laugh, there lies a lot of dark stuff connected with Japanese education system and families but it's still a great fun with a lot of small happy endings + a big one in the final episode:
1. My Love Story!! (2015) - of course, he's not like Saitama because there're no super heroes here but still, he's unbeatable when it comes to any trial or fight :-P
2. GTO: Remake Season 1 (2012) - second season sucks, this season is great, starts slow, then kicks ass. You may also watch the original one - it has a lot of good sides, both are based on anime so you get the vibe. In this one, there's a lot of good fights too.
