Hello.

So I have returned after a few months and want to find a good drama to watch. Historical would be nice.

Generally I like romance dramas, but most of the time it's some kind of love triangle, or one naïve girl chasing a playboy or a harem-owner prince/king.  I understand that without some complications, show would end in 2 episodes, but I am fine with crime, thriller, fighting and etc. - anything that does not extend series artificially.

Male lead and female lead should not have any side-relationships, so loyalty is important. So that means no playboys or escort girls/concubines between male/female leads as well. Anything else, even 90% Wu Xia and bloodshed is fine.

Any recommendations?

P.S. I have seen mostly  historical time-travel dramas so far - "Step into the Past", "Queen in Hyun's Man", "Rooftop Prince", "Nobunaga Concerto", "Faith", "Queen Dugu" and some others.

  • The Eternal Love - ML has concubines but he knows his marriages to them were arranged so they could spy on him. He ignores / does not interact with them. Both leads are extremely loyal to each other.
  • The Legends - Two villain / antagonist characters have romantic interest in the FL and one has interest in the ML, but leads have no interest in them. The ML is exceptionally loyal to the FL.
  • Live Up to Your Name - Mostly set in modern times but with some time travel to the past. As far as I can remember the only thing you should be aware of is that there is a secondary male character who has romantic interest in the FL, but he never confesses, the FL never has any romantic interest in him, and he has very limited screen time.
  • Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung - The ML is a prince and the FL works in a male-dominated environment, but as far as I can recall there were no secondary love interests.
  • My Only Love Song - Time travel rom com. A villain character is interested in the FL but she's never interested in him. Apart from that, I don't remember any other secondary love interests.
  • Splash Splash LOVE - Short time travel drama special. It's a cute, quick drama special and there isn't enough time for love triangle story line extensions.

Non-historical romance dramas with no side relationships / active love triangles (an ex may show up or a minor secondary character may have romantic interest in one of the leads, but they don't have chance and only show up briefly) and leads who are loyal to each other:

Thank you for responses.

I have seen "Healer", "Live up to your Name" and "Splash Splash Love". In general I try to avoid anything unrealistic like myths, gods, demons and stuff, apart from time travel which I watch.

But "Legends" looks interesting, also "W". I will have a closer look at others though.

Regarding "You are My Glory", I remember "Long Ballad" with the same female lead but historical one and it was nice.

I will have a look at it, but in general I try to avoid unrealistic stuff like myths and gods. Thanks though.

I have seen "Sungkyunkwan Scandal". In general I hate "female dressing as male". Thanks for the advise though. :)

Love Like White Jade - it is mainly comedy and romance with multiple couples and light drama. FL is strong and clever.

Ashi Girl - fantasy/sci-fi romcom with time travel

The Tale of Nokdu - FL is strong and smart, a villain is interested in her, but she is not to him.
