I'm a bit burnt out with romance right now, so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for dramas or movies that have, well... literally any other type of relationship as the focus. They don't have to just be focused on the relationship, but any stories with non-romantic relationships in them would be appreciated. Crime, thriller, comedy, mystery, supernatural, fantasy - any genre is fine. I just need a break from dramatic love scenes and pining.

Friendship is also kind of relationship, right? :)

Kamikaze Girls (sismance, jmovie) - comedy
Hello Harinezumi (bromance, jdrama) - detective comedy with many genres. It has romance in one episode, but main focus is on comedy and mystery
House of Bluebird (family relationship, business, kdrama) - it has romances, but they feel more like a friendship(no kissing), main focus is on family relationships and business drama. It is funny drama, but longer.
Miss Pilot (friendship, jdrama)
Reon (father-daughter relationship, jmovie) - main focus is on comedy, it has some light romance, but nothing significant.
Run Off (friendship, sismance, kmovie) - sport comedy
Swing Girls (friendship, jmovie) - school music comedy
Take Off (bromance, kmovie) - sport comedy
Tori Girl (friendship, sismance, jmovie) - school comedy about human powered airplane club
Train to Busan (father-daughter relationship, kmovie) - action thriller and horror with zombies
Waterboys (friendship, jmovie) - school comedy about male synchronized swimming team
Your Name is Rose (mother-daughter relationship, kmovie) - music comedy
Yuru Camp△ (friendship, jdrama) - school adventure comedy

Bromance -centered  dramas are  my fav type but I watch and  can only rec some historicals:

- Worrier Baek Dong Soo  (kdrama)-  epic  but tragic bromance,  totally forgetable romance on the side, interesting mentor- mentee relationships and strong chosen family theme

- My Country New Age (kdrama)- super angsty and  dramatic bromance ( the main relationship), strong multi-character friendship, one (mostly one-sided) side almost-bromance , light romance on the side

- Nirvana in Fire  (cdrama)-  kind of not-quite-realized  but still strong bromance  with secrets

- The King Loves (or The King in love)  (kdrama)- it's technically romance but bromance in that one is just as important as romance and generally friendship (between all main characters) is  the charm  and center of the drama

- Hwarang (kdrama) - there is a romance here ( for me it got so anoying that I fast-fowarded it) but it's mainly about friendhips,  it's a lighter drama

- I guess "The Untamed" could also be read as only bromance

- Marvelous Women  (cdrama)- also with some romantic storylines  but focusing on many amazing relationships between  various women (and their indywidual journeys), strong sismance  ( with  some frenemies undertones at times) between main  ladies

There are also dramas that had some  fantastic  bro/sismantic relationship although not as the main  focus/main relationship:

- Rise of the Phoenixes ( Ning Yi and Xin Ziyan) - bromance

- Chuno (Dae Gil,  Wang-Son and "General" Choi) - bromance

- Mr Sunshine ( Eugine Choi, Gu Dong Mae and Kim Hui Song) - unexpecting and absolutely hilarious bromance between three guys that by all means  should hate each other)

-  Acient Detective (cdrama)

- Royal Gambler (kdrama) - broamnce  here is important part but it's also  not  always going smoothly (guys being actually  brothers)

- Long Ballad -  ( Chang Ge, Le Yan) -sismance

Strong  and really touching fater- son(s) relationships you will find in " Iljimae" (kdrama)

18 Again - It does have romance, but a big focus of the show is the dad reconnecting with his children.

Angry Mom - Is about a mom who disguises herself as a teenager to get revenge on her daughter's bullies.

Lie After Lie - Does have slight romance. But the main focus is of a woman who gave birth to a girl in prison. And when she gets out she tries her best to reinsert herself in her daughter's life by any means necessary. Kind of heavy but does have a happy ending.

Mother - Is about a teacher who decides to kidnap a girl to get her away from her abusive parents. Also kind of heavy, but does have some light moments and also a happy ending. No romance, and a heavy focus on that you don't have to be blood-related to be family.

I can also recommend the currently airing drama The One and Only. There is romance in it. But has a heavy focus on three women bonding over the fact that they're about to die. Only 6 episodes out so far, but is in my opinion the best currently airing drama out there.
