I recently watched Melancholia and loved it. Specifically ML's early devotion to FL and how protects her and always put her first. 

His scenes with her ex-fiance were amazing lol.

So true! This show would've gained from reducing quite a few storylines, but the ML is indeed one of those silently devoted types. 

We Best Love: No. 1 For You is a lighthearted BL take on this trope. Things get a bit gloomier in the second part.
