kieta hatsuko is such a refreshing and relatable drama! i did not expect to love it this much, but it is my favorite bl of all time! Aoki and Ida depict the really beautiful and sweet progression of a relationship. they're honest with each other and clear about their feelings. this drama also touches a LOT on coming out and that really hit close to home (for me at least). good depiction of the struggles of being honest with yourself. this drama also had amazing, supportive friendships! all in all, this drama was incredibly light and fluffy, while delicately covering more serious topics. AMAZING

a beautiful, adorable drama with a wonderful plot. i wasn't expecting much from this drama based on the description, but it's so much more than it looks! the plot is incredibly well done, touching on youthful, college romance, insecurities, painful memories, relationships and more. it felt beautifully realistic with a happy ending. the cinematography was also absolutely gorgeous

this is such a good drama. it's absolutely adorable and fun and cute. one ml is insecure and cautious of relationships, while the other is head-over-heels in love. their relationship growth is so genuine and its heartwarming to watch them get closer. perfect mix of fluffy and heartwarming with a dash of seriousness. 

definitely not the typical bl, but an absolutely amazing one. the story and characters are incredibly complex and intriguing with such beautiful cinematography. it's definitely an action, adventure, high fantasy type of drama, but watching when you know the male leads are actually in love does make it very romantic, too

i absolutely loved this drama! it's one of the best korean bls that has been made. the story was fun, lighthearted, and had real substance. the leads were cute with great chemistry, and the plot was well done. totally worth watching

not me had everything! romance, action, mystery, activism, art, etc. and it all pieced together seamlessly. the cute moments balanced well with the serious, and I was always wanting more. i loved the characters and was heavily invested in the story. the romance does take a secondary role in this drama, but it feels entirely natural. there's so much more to care about! absolutely amazing

what an great drama! bad buddy broke so many of the bad Thai BL tropes. this drama portrayed a healthy, well-developed, and absolutely adorable couple. their relationship is so well done, and the leads had such beautiful chemistry - there was a good balance of regular relationship sweet and made-for-TV steamy. this set the standard for future BLs very high

heartwarmingly beautiful. this drama follows one man trying to find himself again with the help of another, and they find each other along the way (okay, that's very hallmark-y, but i stand by it). absolutely loved the story of this. both leads were mature and fully fleshed out. the relationship development from colleagues to friends to lovers was immaculate.

this was a wonderful movie. not only was it romantic and soft, but it dealt with some real issues and family very well. His is one of the few intricate, slower paced movies i've really been engaged start to finish. this was so beautiful and absolutely worth the watch!

this is one of the best plots I've seen in a bl drama; it actually felt like a regularly paced, slow-burn movie. it was such an adorable and happy story! the leads are cute and have a good amount of cute scenes together. I loved the story, the build-up, the characters, and the romance.  

this drama shot to the top of my favorite bls so fast! it felt so real and easily draws you in. the development of their relationship is genuine and both leads do an excellent job. the side characters were also really fun to watch, and the story flowed nicely. despite the short time, there's a lot that happens and it all feels very organic

a solid follow-up to We Best Love: No 1. (these two really do need to be watched together! 1 could be stand-alone, but this sequel adds so much more depth to the characters). While the miscommunication and break up was overly dramatic, the resolution was veryyy well done with plenty of cute scenes. the side characters are all still solid and worth watching

very beautiful + very strange. this drama shows the journey of the ml's relationship, which is full of insecurity and miscommunication. the main lead is weird, not quirky weird, just weird, and we get to see how he views the world. it's a strange story that sometimes didn't sit right with me, but it was very well done. the ending brought everything together beautifully and was well worth the watch

a tooth-rottingly sweet bl. (these are def my favorite to watch) this drama focused heavily on the main pair's relationship and music. there wasn't much plot, but that just gave us more time for the romance. also, 10/10 for music! their duet is beautiful

this was a really great, fantasy wuxia drama! the main leads were even more blatantly in love that I would have thought possible (really pushing censorship). it was an intense and fun watch, with plenty of martial arts. the plot itself wasn't my favorite (which is why it only gets an 8), but the characters and relationships are amazing!

a GL! okay, this was a good drama. it felt like watching a real lesbian get over her ex, find new love, and also come to terms with herself. there's really only three characters in this drama, and they're all lesbians! very short, but absolutely worth the watch

adorable! such a sweet and lighthearted drama. it really just felt like a glob of sugar, which is my favorite thing. worth the watch, especially since it's so short

in a word: heartwarming. this was a slower-paced, self-discovery, and slow-burn movie, with absolutely beautiful scenery and a good OST. the gay romance is actually fairly subtle, but the leads developing relationship is prominent. it's a casual and beautiful watch

this was a messy, complicated, over-dramatic university story and I loved every single second of it. seriously, this was dramatic to the point that I was laughing when the male lead burst into tears for the third time in a single episode, but I really did enjoy watching. this drama had all the emotional highs and lows with an eventual happy ending. so much fun

lighthearted, slice-of-life. this drama focuses on the journey TO a relationship, not OF a relationship. So it's very slow-burn with a handful of plot holes. but overall, very sweet and warm. i enjoyed watching this and loved the progression of the leads' relationship

cherry blossoms was simply & sweet. the relationship development was well done + i loved all the background characters. this drama handled the "being gay in a homophobic society" plot-line really well. nothing special, but very sweet

a basic, romance storyline that's very well-done! it's simply and sweet. the two main girls feel real in their discovery of themselves and each other. i really enjoyed this one

a very sweet college romance featuring a slow burn, (somewhat) realistic relationship. both mls were fun to watch. the plot dragged in a couple places, which is why it's not higher, but overall, worth the watch!

this was often over-exaggerated acting and plot points, but it all managed to fit into a very cute and adorable vibe. this was a crazy, cute kind of fun and I definitely enjoyed it!

solid follow-up special. sometimes the specials are just random filler or too drawn-out, but this one was the perfect amount of light relationship development and happy fluff. 100% worth the watch if you enjoyed Theory of Love

sweet and sad. this is one of the bls that actually got me in my feelings (usually they're so short that angst is easy to gloss over). however, this one felt very real to me and the progression towards love and away (and back again) was beautiful

i'm a sucker for slow, beautiful cinematography, and this film has plenty of it! it's truly a calming movie, but not necessarily happy. it feels like the FL finding herself and comfort after years of being lost. the wlw romance in this is very light, but poignant. 

simple and straightforward. this was a great representation of a young relationship (Tine's friend group were the MVPs of this drama)! the side relationships and plots were strange to me and I almost wish it only focused on Tine and Sarawat. overall, a very cute and generic drama

i love me some mixed family with a splash of gay. this drama was also very sweet. it moves pretty fast, which is great, cause there's no waiting for things to happen. i really enjoyed the story and the fact that the MLs seemed to be forming a real, strong relationship

this was sweet (just like the title)! not much happened (like most Korean bls), but everything that was there was well done. the progression of the relationship felt well paced, and I liked that we got a happy ending without much drama. 

this is a super short, but very well done movie. i enjoyed the established couple energy as a change of pace from typical bl, and the actors had great chemistry. this was an adorable look into their life, though a bit abrupt of an ending. 

i was skeptical of the plot of this drama, but it ended up working so well! it's exactly what the description says; groom coming out to his family on his wedding  day. it's heartfelt and emotional and good in all the right places with a deserved happy end. 

plot-hole abundant, but it has female cultivators and lesbians, so I'm willing to overlook a lot. the pacing of this drama was strange, but the story was very good: full of wlw, beautiful FLs and amazing costumes

another adorable watch. the drama was full of plot-holes (which is why it ranks as a 7 on my list), but was full of romance and very sweet. the leads gave excellent performances, and their relationship was well done. 

a very romantic, slice-of-life drama. there is almost no real plot in this drama, but each episode has a story dealing with their relationship, parenthood, acceptance, etc. this was a very sweet watch, but it ends on a big cliffhanger (which is mostly ignorable) 

this was a fun, satirical drama. it was pleasantly over-the-top and quirky, really parody-ing all of the BL tropes. this is not a romantic bl drama, but a comedic look at the 'World of BL'. a very fun watch!

very heartwarming and sweet. most of this drama is pining, but its still very sweet. definitely a foundational bl drama.

super short + super sweet. nothing happened, just a lot of heated stares and beautiful moments (and manyyy close-up shots of tea). short enough that it's worth the watch!

a cute story, but there was not much substance. other than the ML wearing woman's clothes and a handful of cute/quirky moments, it didn't feel that much happened. while the main couple was cute, there was almost no relationship development. a very basic, good BL

this is the follow up series to 2gether. this was a cute wrap-up and fan-service for the 2gether drama. enjoyed watching after the main drama, but there wasn't any substance. worth watching if you loved 2gether

this wasn't a bad drama, but there wasn't much too it. i was excited about the plot, but it ended up feeling very lackluster. there was never enough emotion / reasoning / build-up behind any of the big scenes + there were a lot of random plot holes. overall, it was still sweet to watch, but nothing amazing

technically not a bl, as the gay couple is a side couple, but the screentime is roughly half-and-half, so I count it. this was fairly cute. not much substance and not amazing, but cute. very basic drama if you want some fluff and a handful of sweet gay moments. not much more

this is a dramatic lgbtq+ movie, not exactly a bl. the film was very cinematic, slow-paced, and moving, but the beautiful feel of the movie is overshadowed by a lackluster plot. it was confusing to follow + the ending was incredibly ambiguous (and not in a good way). i loved watching the emotions of this movie, but didn't enjoy the story

an enjoyable watch, but not my favorite. the main romance was very sweet and cliche (which I love), but the background romance (the two step-siblings) was weird for me. I know its a common bl trope, but I don't like it. everything else was great!

i kinda feel bad dropping this one, cause the episodes are so short that it would not be much more time to finish... but it was just so boring. it wasn't bad, but there was nothing good either. filler if you really want to watch a bl, but not worth going out of your way.

a very cute story, but poorly done. most bl are problematic, but issues just kept popping up in this one. i can overlook a fair amount in order to watch a cute, queer storyline, but the background homophobia was heavy
