Korean Shows & Movies
Just everything I have watched so far [updating]
Beware... may include very good or very bad dramas
** The notes will be a short review from me. {I didn't want to write a separate review because I feel like I have to go into more depth. Also, I'm a little nervous about writing one.}

1. Priest
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
If you don't like watching things that give you a nightmare, then I would not recommend this to you. However, if you want to consider watching, you would not regret it. I am a big scaredy-cat when it comes to horror, but this show has more gore than scares (or pop-up scares which I truly despise). You do not need to watch the movie to understand what is going on. So, it is really nice that this is its own separate plot which was really good as it had so many twists and turns. Like at first, I was like why *sobbing really hard*. Then I was like, it was one of those tricks. With the transitions in the story, it makes the plot flow smoothly. The acting was incredible, although there were still some parts that didn't appeal to me.

2. The Priests
Korean Movie - 2015
Not really a scary movie. I would recommend it if you are okay with gore. Overall, the movie was great. The plot was usual for movies like this, but the ending left on a good note. The acting was also on point.

3. My Annoying Brother
Korean Movie - 2016
If you're looking for a movie with tears of joy and sadness, I strongly recommend this. I was bawling at the very end, and my tears never seem to end. The storyline is simple, and the production was excellent. The acting was really on point as the two brothers' interactions with each other moved me.

4. Space Sweepers
Korean Movie - 2021
The movie was great! CGI on point, acting was mwah, and production quality... yes. Overall, the moral of the story had great execution with a mix of happy and sad. However, it was predictable as to what was going to happen next. Also, I really found the script interesting. The combinations of languages were, at first, surprising, but it is an interesting way to see the future.

5. Okay! Madam
Korean Movie - 2020
A lighthearted funny movie about family. The plot had several twists that I did not expect, and it was enjoyable to watch with the acting. I have nothing more to say because I just appreciate watching this movie. I really recommend it if you are feeling down.

6. Midnight Runners
Korean Movie - 2017
A feel-good movie with action and comedy bundled in one. I enjoyed watching this when I was feeling a little down. The story was amazing and flowed so well. Two friends fighting to save people's lives with the risk of being kicked out of the academy. With the great acting, I can't help but shed tears of joy.

7. Hitman: Agent Jun
Korean Movie - 2020
At first, I was like, woah. He just died, but afterward, I was just cracking up. I don't know what the writers were on, but I loved it. The mix of action and comedy was good and meld into the story smoothly. I would definitely recommend watching if you are feeling a little down.

8. How to Steal a Dog
Korean Movie - 2014
This story made me tear up. It made me appreciate my parents a lot. It has a good story with an important lesson. People do a lot just to get money, but only when you know their story, you understand why they are desperate.

9. My Girlfriend is an Agent
Korean Movie - 2009
A couple with trust issues, but hey, they really love each other despite it. I really enjoy this action and comedy-drama. I felt like it ended too quickly (there are some clips towards the end). However, I loved the acting and the plot. I really recommend it if you are into Mr. and Mrs. Smith (an American movie) or the spy couple.

10. Twenty
Korean Movie - 2015
Aahhhh, the 20s. The golden age... These friends are just trying to live their lives to the fullest as they journey through their love life. I could not help laughing as the friends did some interesting things. However, this does include some adult references. So, I would only recommend if you are, of course, of age and if you're feeling a little down.

11. The Man from Nowhere
Korean Movie - 2010
Intense movie. The story was well written and I loved the ending. It made me tear up to see how much he cares for the girl. The action scenes reminded me of the classic kung fu movies which are really refreshing to see. This kind of gave me a Two Weeks vibe but just a little more violent.

12. The Odd Family: Zombie on Sale
Korean Movie - 2019
Aaah, a different kind of zombie movie where the zombie's main source of food is not people, but veggies. XD I loved it. I laughed at how they encouraged the zombie to bite more people which literally flipped the world. A very different zombie movie with a nice storyline, an odd family, and a tint of romance.

13. Train to Busan
Korean Movie - 2016
I've watched it many times, and it still makes me cry at the very end. It really shows the greed and selflessness of humanity. There's nothing more I could say but to just watch.
-
14. The Uncanny Counter
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I have seen a lot of humans vs demons and this story is somewhat refreshing and unique. I love So Mun's character and I love his interaction with the other counters. Aaah! Definitely would watch again.
-
15. Mr. Queen
Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes
One word... Hilarious. I can't believe the comedy and drama in one drama. I definitely loved the acting of the main actors and also the supporting characters. Also, this concept is interesting. I would definitely watch this again!

16. Mystic Pop-Up Bar
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
This show was a good mix of fantasy and real life. It has many good life lessons. There were twists and turns in the storyline and included several fun scenes.
-
17. Kingdom
Korean Drama - 2019, 6 episodes
It took me a long time to just start the show because the first episode was a little dragging. However, afterward, the action started picking up. It was really interesting to watch a zombie movie in the past.

18. Kingdom Season 2
Korean Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
The first season was really good and I got upset when it just left on a cliffhanger. Now that the second season is released, I now know what happened. I still had the same impression as last time, however, I give it a 0.5 star less rating because I felt like it lacked something.

19. Bring It On, Ghost
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
A cute and funny ghost story. I like the idea and story, but I really wanted to see a possessed Park Bong Pal. Maybe it's because this is the first show I discovered Taec Yeon's acting and I like seeing different sides of him.

20. Her Bucket List
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
It was exactly how I thought it would be.
