bls i've watched <3 (highest to lowest w notes)
i try to watch all bls that are above 8 on mdl, but some i watch just bc of its cast, just a lil heads up on that :D

1. The Eighth Sense
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
literally everything about this drama is perfect and exactly what i look for in a drama: the cinematography, soundtrack, theme, premise, acting, chemistry, tension, hurt-heal, ugh everything was just amazing!! i can't get over how beautiful the whole drama was TOT i think this might be one of my most favorite dramas ever <3 highly recommend
flaws: the only thing i can think of is the title font lmao -
2. Bad Buddy
Thai Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
this is how enemies to lovers trope should be portrayed- no toxicity just pure love. i loved their chemistry sm and i love how they acknowledged all problems and gave us a proper closure. also even though it's 12 episodes it felt much longer than that?? like it was a slow burn but we had time for a lot of fluff, we had different settings as well. i really appreciate the time management of this series as there wasn't any filler scenes and almost every scene had significance. and the way they handled the product placements???? we got so many iconic scenes with the products ^^ other thai bls should take notes
flaws: i'm not really fan of the goofy sound effects (the boing boing and cymbals) and did ohm really have to be shirtless most of the time (not complaining but did he have to)
-
3. Only Friends
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
pure chaos, absolutely loved it. i normally don't like shows that involve cheating and betraying but i think the fact that there was consent most of the time (and if it wasn't there were consequences and not glorification), and it didn't make me feel uncomfortable made of stand out. obviously, khaofirst were the highlight but i'm so happy seeing the progress of bookforce and mark????? he slayed so hard w neo. completely satisfied and no complaints
flaws: WHERES S2
-
4. Be My Favorite
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
flawed main character done well??? greenest flag pisaeng??? strong female character with her own story??? YES PLEASE ToT really great story bro, 10/10 recommend. i was reluctant to watch it but i sO don't regret it. best thai bl of 2023??
flaws: kawi's character was annoying at times when pisaeng was trying his best, but as the story progressed his character developed sm i loved that sm i can't
ALSO NO PRODUCT PLACEMENTS? I LOVE THIS DRAMA SM
-
5. Stay with Me
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
idk if it was the amazing production, stunning visuals, mesmerizing soundtrack, their endearing relationships, MY SWEET DUO DUO, the fruity undertones, the funny innuendos or the 24 episodes that made me so emotionally attached, the whole series felt like such a warm hug. every episode i was overwhelmed with emotions and i don't care if there weren't proper kisses, their chemistry was chemistrying sm TAT the side characters were charismatic and unforgettable, and bro let me talk about the main characters THEIR ACTING WAS JDSJG *chef's kiss* i will definitely enjoy re-watching this just for watching wu bi's evil laugh (when he planned to lock out duo duo)
flaws: ep 22 wasn't my cup of tea, they barely took any effort for their "trip" (if green screen counts) yea, that's basically it. i believe in plot armors but if it's a bittersweet ending, i'm chill with that too (IM NOT PLS LET THESE BOYS HAVE A HAPPY ENDING)
-
6. Semantic Error
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
this was just yes. everything about this drama is yes. i really thought we wouldn't see any kiss scenes since both seoham and jaechan are idols but????? they had amazing chemistry and tension, the bts is also really fun to watch. the lighting, editing and cinematography were all great (expected of a kbl), really the best drama for a quick watch
flaws: it's too shortttt :( i wish it had at least 10 episodes
-
7. Blueming
Korean Drama - 2022, 11 episodes
i absolutely adore artistic dramas and blueming is one of my favs ahhhh they handled this very well. the actors had great chemistry and they didn't shy away with the romance. the themes and settings were really beautiful. overall very feel good kinda romance- it's just a personal preference though, i'm not sure if everyone will enjoy this
flaws: although it's one of my favs i'll agree that there are a lot of loose endings, barely any closure to many problems and the side romance (it wasn't really necessary? or they could've given us more scenes) i really hope the second season would provide better closure and more exposure to the second couple
-
8. My School President
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
the romance wasn't satisfactory without enough kisses i'll agree, but geminifourth were so adorable i completely overlooked that. their chemistry was so cute bye-
the SONGS. i've added every single one to my playlist. they've (especially fourth like i'm in love with his voice) gone above and beyond with the soundtrack and i'm so impressed with their vocals. the both moms were amazing, the side characters left their mark and the whole concept of friendship, although corny, worked so well. everyone clearly had fun doing this series and they had great chemistry
flaws: i can't pick out any flaw??? maybe if we got just one more episode of just focusing on their relationship since the whole series was about them getting together and we didn't get many scenes of them actually being together
-
9. Not Me
Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes
i fell in love with the concept and theme of this series. even though some of the words went completely over my head, this concept has never been done in bl series so well before so it was really interesting for me. i'm absolutely in love with all the characters and their acting. offgun and gawinfirst did such phenomenal jobs, you wouldn't be disappointed in the romance at all. the soundtrack and aesthetics were also delivered well. all the characters are so memorable and iconic, i had a great time watching this series
flaws: i'm not sure? something felt missing?? i can't really pick out what that is but imo something was missing
-
10. Like in the Movies
Filipino Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
the bl industry rarely deals with the issues of coming out and the emotions, problems, and social prejudices that comes with it and this portrays it so well. the actors had such realistic chemistry, their delivery was so raw, so perfect. i enjoyed every single episode and cried when they did. i appreciate the setting and editing and the metaphors bro, the storywriters did such an amazing job on that. also the "dear karl" video??? that was co cute i can't even
flaws: idk sometimes judit imposed a lil too far? also ik i'm being selfish but i mayhaps wanted one more episode to tie everything together. -
11. Our Dating Sim
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
i really wanted a drama that didn't have unnecessary miscommunication and conflicts; just pure fluff and our dating sim gave me just that. granted, the story starts with a conflict and there is one more tiny one at around the end, but they get resolved quickly. the two actors have cute chemistry, the workplace is a really fun place and overall, the drama had an 'it's raining outside and you're tucked in your blankets' kinda comfortable vibe. also i fell in love with the videogame premise!! the editing is so cute and something i've never seen before
flaws: there aren't any flaws? it was just a comfortable, cute drama
side note: i read a fanfic where both of them consider therapy which i think is absolutely yes
-
12. Cherry Magic
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
omg???? surprisingly really really good for a remake, maybe i liked it even better than the original wtf. i cant express how much the second couple is better in this, also i loved every single change they made to tie the story altogether. absolutely loved the soft aesthetic maintained throughout the series ugh this was so good 10/10 recommend
flaws: a few here and there but none to affect the watching experience
ps: im in love w new's smile
-
13. Eien no Kino
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
i'm not a big fan of bittersweet romances, but this one's an exception. the editing, soundtrack and aesthetics were on point. the story, although it sounds comical, was so beautiful. i loved all the metaphors and symbolism portrayed. i thought the romance would be disappointing since it's a jbl but i think this had the best romance i've ever seen for a jbl? it was so pure and sweet that i was crying. the actors did a great job displaying the emotions bc it felt so real
flaws: the first kiss could've been avoided, the actors were a bit stiff in the first few episodes
-
14. 30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
i've rewatched this so many times because how cute this whole concept and the series is. kurosawa will literally steal your heart and adachi is one of the cutest characters. everything about this drama is cute and i promise it will give you butterflies even though they don't really display much physical affection
flaws: tsuge and minato, they didn't have to be there at all, i always skip them when rewatching (i could watch for minato but i can't stand tsuge like calm down man), a kiss would've been a cherry on the top, but adachi kurosawa still had a great romance without it
-
15. To My Star Season 2: Our Untold Stories
Korean Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
if you are looking for fluff, just ignore the whole drama. watch episode 10 without context. it will make sense, trust me. the first 9 episodes are a total angsty mess. the actors have undeniably great chemistry but what even is up with han jiwoo idk. i mean i understand how he feels, but he was straight up so mean sometimes to seojun. if u turn a blind eye to that, the aesthetic, the background characters are all so good. the flashbacks to all the domestic scenes, the little intimate moments they had, simple mundane things.. i fell in love with that. also the ep 10 was just perfection. definitely my most favorite romance in kbl. i've given this a 9.5 because it was real, i mean relationships include pain like this
flaws: when han jiwoo was at his lowest
(i've rewatched this the most out of anything i've ever watched lmao even though tms 2 isnt on my top 10 it's the first one in my heart i swear, i keep coming back to rewatch this and cry)
-
16. 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us
Thai Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
HELLO?? WHAT IS THIS HIDDEN GEM??? i stumbled upon this while searching for dramas similar to 'the eighth sense' and i'm so happy that i did. first of all, the cinematography *chef's kiss*, the consistent aesthetic, soundtrack, and the most important of all, THE ACTING. damn, the acting was so good, the emotions and every single tear was so raw and genuine, you could clearly tell all the actors put their heart and soul into the project. i'm a sucker for dramas that make u think a lot, and this gave me that. honestly it was like watching a play if that makes sense. it was only when i reached the end i realized the actors never kissed, but it wasn't even needed? all their interactions were so intimate without any physical touch and i love that about this drama.
flaws: some parts were a bit slow paced but i sped it up, so it didn't really matter to me. the mom's character pissed me off a lot (an understatement, i was RAGING), atleast her character could've been a little more likeable since she did make our mls story bittersweet (more bitter than sweet T~T)
-
17. Wandee Goodday
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
the first ep had me immediately hooked bc of that badass intro (I judge by intro lmao) love the characters, their development and the plot. I've never seen such a dynamic and I think great and inn did a phenomenal jobs with their characters. the second lead was amazing and adequately annoying, exploring kinks and asexual representation lets go????? all in all, I loved watching this series, been a while since I enjoyed while watching a series.
flaws: there was no need for wandee to make yak chase after him bc it was really clear he liked him, but all worked out in the end so ig it's cool, and there wasn't any need for dr ter to get a good ending right away TT let off bro for some while
anyways oye and her were the best second couple I could ask for so, slay
-
18. Jack o' Frost
Japanese Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
ok only because this had a score lower than 8 on mdl, i was pretty skeptical about watching it, but why in the actual world did i enjoy this so much. i can agree that the conflict was something that could be cleared off by just communicating and it escalated wayyy too much just because of impulsive decisions. i honestly felt both fumiya's and ritsu's emotions were valid. i loved how their characters were so raw and flawed. at the end, they did communicate, and it was like watching their relationship re-bloom, SO BEAUTIFUL. the cinematography, editing and soundtrack didn't disappoint at all (it's a jbl, cmon) and the actors are definitely getting added to my simp list
flaws: ritsu's actor was clearly uncomfortable in some of the scenes which kinda threw the comfortable vibe off, since they were supposed to be in a long term relationship
-
19. Moonlight Chicken
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
the vibes, the aesthetics, the SOUNDTRACK omg was so good. since we have three established ships, the romance part wasn't a big problem. overall, the series had a beautiful, thoughtful concept, discussing common man problems and i honestly was skeptical about watching this since i couldn't take the title seriously. it wasn't the best, not bad either. geminifourth absolutely delivered, i loved them a lot more here than in msp
flaws: there were wayyy too many things going on in 8 episodes. i wish they had taken their time for the characters and relationships to develop so that we could have more attachment. i wish we had more firstkhao? they barely exist here. also, the editing is a bit choppy at times, with continuity errors. also who in their right mind casted earth to be a middle aged man like have you not seen him???
-
20. Love for Love's Sake
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
something fresh, something new. i love video game concepts and this drama fulfilled that for me. i genuinely loved the story sm but I have the usual complaint of the length being too small to properly develop relationship arcs and for the character development to make sense. the actors did such a beautiful job on this, I cried multiple times but it doesn't take away the fact that they developed feelings for each other out of nowhere. they didn't put much focus into the second lead either and I thought it was a shame since he had multiple layers as well. besides that, the aesthetics, editing and cinematography were on point, as expected from a kdrama. special mention to myungha's character being perfectly portrayed!! as u can see i love complex themes being portrayed via metaphors
flaws: the above mentioned, basically the pacing
-
21. Manner of Death
Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
finaLLY, a bl with an interesting crime plot. the premise was great, characters were interesting and since i'm gullible, the plot twists were amazing as well. maxtul was endearing to watch; they had a cute and comfortable chemistry. i honestly loved how they tried something different and gave a lot of importance to all the characters and settings, like i've never seen a bl with characters with their backstories, the victim's trauma in detail and so many different settings!! it looked well produced and directed.
flaws: granted the drama looked like it had a high production, the editing was choppy at times, and the camera angling wasn't perfect. there were a lot of scenes that just didn't need to be there. besides that, there were a few plot holes (why r the police and doctors so dumb and why is dr bun and oat performing surgeries) that were ignorable, because who cares and the romance part didn't necessarily have to be there (it was a bit off how fast they fell for each other) but WHO CARES THEY WERE SO CUTE :D
-
22. Kieta Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
i really love the editing and the story of this. literally every single character is so lovable and cute, basically overall, a very warm, funny and adorable series
flaws: there is bare minimum physical affection between the leads, aoki sometimes was a lil too over the top but he was cute nonetheless
-
23. Love Tractor
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
i read the manhwa along for a full experience, and all i wanna ask is why are they shying away to make this into a 16 episoded drama??? ok budget issues maybe but light on me happeneddd!! love tractor has a very strong story and i'm not sure if i could say the series did the manhwa justice, being 8 episodes, it's difficult to cram everything and it kinda felt rushed. the cast, cinematography, vibes, chemistry, and soundtrack were so good. i can't get over how cute yechan's country accent is. overall, a very cozy and cute series that i would recommend.
flaws: too short, yeah that's it. the romance was rushed but it was really cute nevertheless
-
24. The Eclipse
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
khaofirst has such beautiful chemistry. ok maybe aye was being a lil too assertive and confident in his actions because the amount of time akk pushed him away :D. anyways i've rewatched the show because their chemistry is just *chef's kiss*. their crying scenes are filled w emotion, like both of them are really good at crying, you would cry along with them. the tension and build-up were all really good, honestly a pleasure to watch such talented young actors (in love with first's smile and khao's eyes). anyways, the plot was okayish and i'm pretty sure no one would've seen that twist coming.
flaws: the main conflict: what is the problem of the school again? they have ..uniforms? (i have that too) also was the side ship really necessary
-
25. About Youth
Taiwanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
i think this might be my most favourite taiwanese series. the storyline was so cute, the casting was really good and the conflicts were pretty understandable. if only we could forget the girl who danced wa da da in the beginning and her brother (i thought he would be some kind of antagonist), then the series is pretty good and i would recommend it. i rewatched this only to watch the second couple, they stole my heart. their meeting and chemistry were so cute TT
flaws: the main couple could've had more time developing. since we've already been introduced to traumatic past for both the leads, they could've expanded on it, instead of just ending it right there. esp ye guang's parents. they turned over a new leaf overnight like?
-
26. Still 2gether
Thai Special - 2020, 5 episodes
ok i feel like this one did much better in the romance department for all the couples. and we did get a decent kiss from the mls, so their chemistry is definitely better here than the first season. we got to see development in all the couples and honestly it was really sweet to see all of them together. i'm a sucker for beach tropes and this gave me that and i genuinely liked and enjoyed sm watching this. since the cast has been together in s1, they have such a cute and playful energy in this season and i really loved seeing it
flaws: sigh all they had to do was noT talk about anything toxic, i mean is it so hard to do so?? it could've been perfect without the husband-wife, top-bottom shit
-
27. Old Fashion Cupcake
Japanese Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
this was a really good watch, i fell in love with togawa's character and the whole concept of "im too old for love wait nvm there's this hot dude way younger than me haha ig love's not dead". imo, they executed it very well in terms of tension, build up, aesthetics, soundtrack and visuals.
(spoilers below)
flaws: the only kiss (and it was a really good one TT) we got was dubcoN TAT. the last ep really ended with my face being so disappointed bc i really wanted to see some cute scenes when they were together bc they were so endearing :( also i mentally deleted the scene where togawa kissed nozue in his sleep what was that
-
28. A First Love Story
Korean Special - 2021, 2 episodes
i had so many butterflies when i watched this for the first time, it's short, sweet and really cute
flaws: WHY IS IT SHORT I CAN WATCH 16 EPS OF THESE TWO
-
29. Sing My Crush
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
three words: cute, cuter and cutest. 100 percent recommend if you're into fluff.
flaws: editing and continuity errors. most were ignorable, but sometimes i wonder why they didn't notice such a huge error. the romance only romanced in the last episode. there was a lot of skinship and ignoring personal space throughout the whole drama, but they only felt like a fr couple in the last ep.
-
30. Love Class Season 2
Korean Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
this could've been a 10 honestly if it weren't for the weird storyline. i loved all three couples and i couldn't care less about the first couple's dead kisses bc jmin did the best he could being an idol. but yes, i would agree i was more excited to watch the other two couples, they had such cute storylines and their romance scenes were exceptionally well done. i was very confused at the rating on mdl bc this was a really fun and refreshing watch and i'd recommend it. also maroo is damn cute also the third couple is very cute (everyone is cute)
flaws: there's a kiss when the other person's asleep, although he didn't mind it, let's not do that haha :( minwoo had a weird outburst towards maroo (i wont stand maroo slander), the whole of KA's past made zero sense to me and i honestly don't care, i was glad the angst got over
-
31. Long Time No See
Korean Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
i wasn't really expecting anything so i was genuinely surprised with the amazing chemistry between the actors. granted their romance was rushed, i didn't mind it at all lmaoo they really looked like they were in love at the first sight. the plot twist and backstories were great, i'm saying again, they had amazing chemistry (i'm a sucker for morning domesticity and this had it i'm absolutely sold) it has a lil nudity, heads up on that
flaws: im assuming it's budgetary reasons bc the story clearly had so much potential, they could've expanded on the backstories, a little more time for the leads to get together and build trust, more time for the conflict resolution (bc it wasn't a forgive-and-forget situation), and more eps leading up to the "boss fight" idk
-
32. Ameiro Paradox
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
ok this is another case of why does this have a score lower than 8? i really liked the premise, soundtrack, intro, editing, production and cast. the actors did a pretty good job and overall, i had fun watching this. i really thought it would be an enemies-to-lovers trope, but we barely got to see the "enemies" part. but ig the romance made up for it, which is btw really good considering it's a jbl
flaws: alr we can all agree that the conflict was absolutely unnecessary. i deleted that whole part off and pretended it never happened. if kaburagi's character wasn't borderline toxic, this could've been a 9.5 or 10
-
33. Vice Versa
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
vice versa has a really nostalgic place in my heart since i think it was the first series i watched weekly (im more of a binge-watcher). anyways, the premise was really good, the colour scheme in each episode was a really neat idea, the chemistry was cute and it was really nice seeing random cameos in each episode. overall, it was a really fun series, but not exactly memorable
flaws: if i had to take a shot everytime an ad showed up on screen, i'd probably be deceased. the product placement EVEN IN THE MOST CRUCIAL MOMENT MADE ME SO MAD. like i had a raging hatred towards kfc and lays after watching this. although this was a great premise, the execution wasn't really done well. the whole possibility of an alternate universe could be so fun to experiment on, but they didn't do much on that (what is a cotton candy cake) and the fact that tess was in talay's body stressed me out sm (also i'll be honest i started watching this series bc of ohm and nanon and then felt an obligation to finish it)
-
34. A Boss and a Babe
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
again, i wanted a break from stressful plots and this was perfect for that! forcebook has way way wayyy better chemistry here than in enchante (i haven't watched it but i've seen clips). it was a slice of life kinda series and although i don't really enjoy over-the-top cher, the calm gun balanced it, so i didn't lose my mind. i love cher's friends and colleagues. the main conflict though, makes zero sense. why couldn't they be together like?? he's literally only an intern. nonetheless, i enjoyed it because it's forcebook like cmon.
flaws: why in the actual world did they choose such a heavy topic as a backstory and even if they did why tf did they gloss over it so fast?? i understand that it's a slice of life and they didn't want to expand on that then why not have it at all? everything's forgiven and forgotten??? no one gets any consequences?? i was just blown away by how no one cared about such an important happening and forget all about it?
-
35. We Are
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
it's slice of life, one of my most favorite genres. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like this drama if you're looking for plot. just simple lives of friends with a LOT of couples, fair share of backstories and a lot of fun. clearly it's just these actors having a lot of fun on set and since I've watched a fair share of off screen content, you can see that it's just them being them lmao. 16 eps of craziness, friendship and ..unnecessary tears.
flaws: q and toey's plot is draggggged (I skipped a lot of their scenes) also wdym you're not sure of your relationship when you've kissed bazillion times, pheem TT phum was really annoying at times and lowk toxic
anyways stay for tan and khaofung bc they're so cute ewu
-
36. A Breeze of Love
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
a very sweet bl, school and uni setting. it was feel good and nostalgic vibe kinda. i really liked dohyun's character, he had real emotions (idk if that makes sense) dongwook was being weird but uh if he didn't then this series wouldn't have existed. also I really love the second lead character. all in all a satisfying series.
flaws: it isn't particularly memorable, just a cute simple quick watch.
-
37. To My Star
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
this was my most favourite kbl for a really long time (until semantic error i think), great premise, actors, soundtrack, aesthetics, story need i say more. i love s2 more but ive rewatched this a lot of times too.
flaws: their romance development at least from jiwoo's side was weird, and how did seojun find out that jiwoo liked him back idk
-
38. Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mite mo
Japanese Drama - 2023, 5 episodes
cute, simple and thought provoking. it has jbl aesthetics and cliche tropes. warm and fuzzy watch
flaws: it's too short, their developments would've made sense if it were longer. also I want more backstories :(
-
39. Roommates of Poongduck 304
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
i waited for the first 6 eps to come out so i could binge it and i got hooked so immediately that i was on extremely painful pins and needles waiting for the next two eps. jiwoong and seobin have great chemistry, the concept was cute but holland being het was criminal lmaoo honestly, i loved everything about the series until the 6th ep
flaws: since i was highly anticipating the 7th and 8th eps, the disappointment i felt was astronomical. the cliche made me want to throw punches and for some reason during the resolution of the conflict both jiwoong and seobin delivered the dialogues in the most bland manner ever and i was so confused bc they were doing so well except for the most important scene. anyways the kiss made up for it lmao
-
40. Bokura no Shokutaku
Japanese Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
honestly, i didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i would. like don't get me wrong, the series as a whole is cute, but i felt it was just repetitive and there wasn't need for romance at all. tane stole the show and my heart so i kept watching for him. yutaka's flashbacks were repeated so many times that at times it just felt like fillers. also yutaka really looks like the guy in the manga lmao
flaws: i felt bored for a lot of scenes and i'll be honest i've only given this a 8.5 after reading other's reviews my views momentarily changed (gaslighting queen?) i think i was originally going to give this an 8
-
41. Last Twilight
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
i haven't seen the last two eps bc I really can't get myself to watch them. i really like jimmy and sea, but their performances are so lack lustre that I always find forcing myself to finish the series just for the sake of it. i think I like last twilight more than vice versa, but I really don't know what it is? their chemistry? or the way they potray complicated characters? I'm not sure. but till what I've watched was fairly good and heartfelt.
flaws: I just can't get myself to finish it, maybe bc of the pacing. I've seen people being disappointed by the last ep and even that doesn't make me curious to finish it off
-
42. Light on Me
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
16 EPISODED KBL LESSGOOO it was a really fun watch, the first ep was a really good entrance lmaoo i kinda hoped the entire series would have that vibe. nevertheless, i enjoyed the series a lot besides whatever i'm gonna say in the flaws
flaws: ok since a lot many people have light on me in their top 5 bls i'll just list down why i didn't like it as much as i thought i would
1 the aesthetic was blinding my eyes, i didn't mind the whitewashing of the actors very much (side eye) but the colours were always blinding even in sad scenes
2 taekyung's character was really weird, since he turned over a new leaf literally overnight and has two hot guys behind him even though he's bland and speaks robotically (im sorry lee sae on) also how did he win that competition
3 i wish taekyung didn't like daon back bc (SPOILER) it would hurt less watching daon get rejected at the end (SHINWOO TAEKYUNG GANG WASSUP)
4 the evil girl :( justice for girls in bls
5 i get that spark by ace (stream ace for good grades) is a really great song, but they used it as an outro even after taekyung got a concussion and shinwoo was on the verge of tears i was cackling lmaoooo
-
43. Method
Korean Movie - 2017
alr hear me out, i was horrified, low key traumatized and mesmerized by this movie. it gave me a whirlwind of emotions and idk if i was here for it. i hated everything about this until the last few minutes. the play completely changed my perspective and you might get what i'm talking about if you watch it. i think i'd recommend it, but only if you're into these themes. i personally watched it bc of the "the lines between reality and acting get blurred" and the philosophy part but the affair came along w it :(
(SPOILERS)
anything related with cheating makes my blood boil and my insides squirm so i wasn't rooting for the main couple at all. the play brought everything together, youngwoo's acting and dialogues literally gave me chills and i'm glad they didn't end up together but uh idk if that was the interpretation (if it was then my discovery isn't that incredible lmaooo) youngwoo dated jaeha bc he was so into character (making him the best character), so basically he didn't like him fr bc if that what's it was, then i love that (jaeha's falling for it was a skill issue) orrr he actually liked him and uh idk how that makes sense
anyways i felt bad for heewon so i was stressfully watching it but yea that's my skill issue lmao if you're cool w that then it's fine ig lmao
-
44. 2gether
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
since everyone said they didn't get the hype of 2gether, i started watching with really low expectations, which i think was really good bc i enjoyed watching it a lot. i fell in love with sarawat (i didn't like him before bc he had a lot of people wrapped around his finger but now i am too lmao). basically it was a really fun watch, all you need to is to shut off your brain bc a lot of things don't make sense. also i honestly didn't mind the fewer kisses i still felt like they were more than bros lmao there were a lot of memorable scenes and yea it's a really fun watch
flaws: there're a lot flaws yes, most of them are ignorable (getting a fake bf is the most stupidest idea for a "straight" guy to shield off a guy who was flirting w him) but when the friends introduced tine to girls when tine confessed he liked sarawat was so wild, i deleted that off that scene and don't get me started on 11th ep.

45. Our Skyy 2
Thai Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY but i'll keep it short
1. never let me go: 10/10 like?? i've never seen the series bc i didn't think i'll enjoy it, but after watching its our skyy, maybe i'll watch the main series some day!! (i did) pondphuwin have really great chemistry, the story was interesting and cute and overall, i really don't regret my 2hrs. and the ost for this!! i listen to it almost everyday, i'm in love with phuwin's vocals
2. star in my mind: ?/10 i'm sorry but when i heard dunk's voice in the most terrible audio, i got out of there as soon as possible (i'll watch it later when i have 2hrs to spare)
3. the eclipse: 10/10 yes, yes and yes. even neo and louis had significance here (the ost ok sorry i really love the ost)
4. vice versa: 8/10 honestly, i didn't think i would enjoy this, but i genuinely did (maybe bc we did have lesser product placements? does lays really have to be present in the most important parts of their relationship). involving a kid to patch their relationship is a really weird move, they had an amazing opportunity to show parenting if jigsaw had been their adopted child
5. my school president: 3/10 when i tell you i was disappointed, I WAS DISAPPOINTED. i was so excited to see this, expecting a college au or smmn :( the concept for this is basically asking a webtoon author to draw the characters as gender bent etc and one person was like 'what if gun was tinn and tinn was gun?' it's a one-time thing. i mean if u were to do that and swap a few characters the least you could do is to change the plot. why did they use the same plot??? the actors gave nothing, the romance is barely there, they shouldn't have included so many songs in just 2 eps.. it seemed like a way to introduce the "lion" merch and a new song. i'm still so disappointed
6. a boss and a babe: 10/10 the series had just finished, and we got an our skyy as well. it was cute, short and satisfactory7. in comments
-
46. HIStory3: Trapped
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
my first taiwanese showwwww it was really fun watching this on viki with the comments on y'all are too funny TAT anyways i mostly enjoyed it, a lot of things doesn't make sense but whatver bc jack and zhao lian were baes i highly recommend watching this only for the second couple bc the main couple gets annoying at times, just keep going, it gets better
flaws: a relationship between a literal criminal and police officer is wild in itself, a lot of bullet shot miracle recoveries, typical plot twist, ambiguous ending? (kinda) shaofei is annoying af and his hair is even more annoying lmaoo (jake's stylist deserves jail) but whatver my baes got their happy ending. also random i'm sorry but tang yi's angry face always makes me laugh out loud
-
47. Cherry Blossoms after Winter
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
it's up to you to decide if it's ethical for two adopted brothers to date, it's technically not wrong but it doesn't feel right either. i didn't care much for that honestly, their chemistry was cute, their height difference is so endearing and the plot is okayish? it's not that good but it's not forgettable. the romance scenes are definitely worth watching for, so i'd recommend only those scenes (haebom's little hop on taesung lives in my head rent free) bc taesung was questionable sometimes
flaws: let's never ever mention the way taesung treated haebom in that episode hahaha wtf was that (forced kiss attempt warning), i'm not a big fan of the damsel in distress thing whether it's hetero or homo
-
48. Where Your Eyes Linger
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
one of the first bls i've ever watched and it was my most favourite for a while. a lot of memorable scenes, cute chemistry, honestly a classic 2020 kbl but i think it wasn't a dead kiss yAY also the boxing ring scene was chef's kiss
flaws: IT'S TOO SHORT, they took on an expandable plot and did so little with it :(
-
49. Love in the Air
Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes
ok hear me out. i've watched the cut version and i genuinely like the story of this. yes, payu and pai were both red flags (really red ones) but they had their redemption arc? i'm sorry i can't defend them but this series has a really special place in my heart because i and my friends watched this on our school trip on the bus (cut version TT). and it was fun giggling and hiding from my other classmates and teachers. yes, the scenes were overly cheesy and HEAR ME OUT AGAIN, i absolutely love the scene where payu sings to rain. like i wouldn't want to be rain at all :) thank goodness they switched to random shots instead of keeping the camera fixated on them.
flaws: ok payu and rain meeting was not cool, non con is a huge nono. pai and sky meeting wasn't cool either, blackmail is a hugE nono. and stalking is NONO. basically, their pre-relationship was just huge red flags. pai comforting sky was yeS and payu scolding rain to study is also a yes. i don't really like how rain and sky are portrayed so babyish like y'all are uni students :D i'm pretty sure rain and sky are the "wives" and the "bottoms" which i strongly dislike bc PLS GET HELP IF U LIKE THAT
uhm i don't really have many arguments to support why i have given lita a 8, honestly, it was just for the vibes and memories. (i wish the cut version was less choppy :( )
-
50. Why R U?
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
idk if i'll watch the thai version, so i can't compare these two, but i've seen people talk about how the korean version is less problematic. but even though this was chaotic and ridiculous in the first few eps, it got progressively better?? like A LOT BETTER everyone was kissing left and right i mean, i'm not complaining at all, it definitely made up for whatever was going on in the first few eps. since it gave me the vibes of early kbls, i wasn't expecting anything so i was really surprised with the amount of kiss scenes TT anyways besides that, the storyline isn't that great but definitely a fun watch
flaws: the sudden character change in jioh was weird, the conflict between sunwoo and yugyeom was just miscommunication but whatever i got a whole lot of fluffffff
honestly it only has an 8 just cause it gave me a lot of butterflies
-
51. Bon Appetit
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
alr i may or may not have watched this bc of the actor from the devil judge, but i'm a tad bit disappointed. bc it's a kbl, i had high expectations but it didn't quite live up to it. the characters and premise are really cute but all that unnecessary drama made me disinterested. i don't mind conflicts but i don't like it when it's dragged out for a long time esp since it's barely half an hour 8 episodes. anyways, the main couple are cute so ig it's fine lmao, basically a quick watch, when you have nothing else to do.
flaws: the ex drama, my man yoonsoo deflecting his ex drama and blaming dohoon for not eating his gimbap like bro just talk it out :0 i've seen people mad about yoonsoo answering his phone in the midst of a make out but honestly i didn't mind it just bc i would've done the same, like my brain would short circuit and emote on its own. ANYWAYS I LOVED THE SEOBIN CAMEO nice lil surprise uh yea that's about it, it wasn't bad, just a lil above average
-
52. Never Let Me Go
Thai Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
all you need to do is completely switch your brain off on this one. there are a lot of loopholes and people magically surviving gunshots, but overall, it was a good watch, the good things: the soundtrack was really good, and the visuals and cinematography were stunning. ben and chopper's relationship was really nice to watch and yeah i think that's about it. i'm honestly tired of the "i'll break up with u because it's for the better" when it's clearly noT. i mean at least in this particular universe. pond and phuwin did well, but they were stiff sometimes and spoke robotically? some scenes didn't genuine with over-the-top cheesy lines, look i'm all here for it, but who tf pulls up that much cheese out of nowhere TT. also, it's not something i mind, but why is there random phuwin english flexing lmaooo also i understand that they are teenagers, so i guess that could explain their immature communication and are we forgetting high school? we're not getting graduated?
flaws: the antagonist could've had more flavour- his character was so bland, predictable, and boring. and i'm pretty sure his plan was illegal, he wouldn't be able to get away with it. i wish either the antagonist or the protagonist had a plan (with like twists or something to keep us hooked) but everyone was basically acting impulsively
-
53. Jazz for Two
Korean Drama - 2024, 8 episodes
what is up with kbls always having a bully and meanass mc? it's not cute nor watchable. at least this boy had a satisfactory redemption arc. i wish they had expanded more on juha, but I kinda like the ending that he doesn't like doyoon back but he's still being selfish..? ah idk anyways the plot was nice and cute. and the music was top tier STAN OMEGA X AND MY BIAS JAEHAN
flaws: I could've forgiven the bullying but what even was that internalised homophobia part.... i really wish it didn't make it to the final cut bc ew almost stopped rooting for them
watch for hangyeom :))
-
54. Jun & Jun
Korean Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
idek what i watched. just skip to the last episode lmao i would've given this a lower score if it weren't for that last episode. since the title is jun & jun, i wish they just focused on them- no other TWO people behind him or a weird fiancee arrangement. there isn't time for even a second couple but they managed to put in two cameos?? anyways the last ep was good and that's all that matters bc i completely forgot what happened in the first eps haha
flaws: they could've expanded on their childhood connection, i think we had just one ep on that, also they clearly bit more than they could chew
-
55. Triage
Thai Drama - 2022, 13 episodes
turn your brain off, relax, and watch. there are a lot of things that make zero sense, a whole load of secondhand embarrassment (a lot i say) and even more illogical things and confusion. who cares bc maxtul makes a cameo so all is good <3 lmao but seriously though, the storyline is okayish bc it falls apart badly in the end, they could've made more episodes to give the show a proper closure. the ending of the couple is very predictable but i would jump off a cliff if they had a bad ending. the side stories were interesting but i wish they made me actually feel bad for tol's gf
flaws: i have no idea how tol likes tin bc it was so painful to watch tin make tol like him. if i were tol i would've already called the police :D also tol's character has a really drastic change towards the end which was very off
-
56. Some More
Korean Movie - 2018
it's strongberry, so you know it. it's short, sweet and cute (it has a lil nudity so heads up on that)
flaws: IT'S SHORT
-
57. Utsukushii Kare Season 2
Japanese Drama - 2023, 4 episodes
what is this is all i'm going to say. ok fr tho, in one scene i'll be horrified but the next scene i'll be like aw, like i can't pick a side. one way to put this is that they have a healthy toxic relationship, both are equally unhinged. don't try this irl, only for fictional purposes. otherwise try therapy TT
flaws: i don't want to watch s1 (toxic teenager relationship is not my cup of tea) all i want is hira to stop regarding kiyoi as a king and stop belittling himself as a pebble. that, and other things lmao anyways basically the flaws are that they are in a toxic relationship but ..not really..?? hira freaks me out :D
-
58. Choco Milk Shake
Korean Drama - 2022, 11 episodes
the premise is without any doubt, very weird lmaoo i can't get over the fact that mc is in love w his literal dog. atleast the uncle has no idea milk was a cat TT putting that aside, it was a really cute show, the animation thingy was really adorable and the last ep was a cherry on the top. the kisses didn't disappoint, it gave me butterflies bc i momentarily forgot IT'S HIS DOG
flaws: IT'S HIS DOG
-
59. We Best Love: No. 1 For You
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
i really love wbl a lot BUT
flaws: gao shide having an elaborate plan for them to be stuck in a room was creepy af, the blackmailing wasn't cool but it was the catalyst that brought them together, i'm not sure if i can undestand how fast zhou shuyi's feelings changed, childhood meeting (i'm starting to hate this trope), the side couple, gao shide's weird cousin, and lastly "i'm not gay it's just you" :(((((
otherwise 10/10 recommend, great music, cute chemistry, great confession and romance scenes, supportive mom :D, just mentally delete all the above mentioned (even if it's a lot it's worth it bc uh they're cute in the end) (ok i'm sorry watch this at your own risk)
as for s2, i might be watching it but i'm not looking forward to the breakup trope at all, i don't want a to my star syndrome
-
60. Life: Senjou no Bokura
Japanese Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
my first jbl ewu, a cute but mature premise, ok this is random but great make up and styling, even though they were the same actors they really did look like the ages they were supposed to be (teen to mid-age). jbl never disappoints with aesthetics and soundtrack also the last scene eeeeeeeeeeee
flaws: alr if we should forgive akira is definitely up for question, my boy yuuki deserves better
(SPOILER but only kinda: esp when he asked his mom ????)
but yea i would forgive him if he never hurts yuuki ever again, also i wish yuuki took some to think about it bc it wasn't a forgive and forget situation at all. also i felt uncomfortable in some scenes bc yuuki looked uncomfortable :( and lastly i wish someone had given me a heads up for the manga or maybe it's my fault for not reading the tags but i saw things i shouldn't have and things i absolutely didn't want to know lmaooo my fluff heart is scarred for life but it is what it is
-
61. Mr. Heart
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
cute, short, rushed, awkward, secondhand embarrassmented, it felt like i was falling in love. jinwon's actor's ears were so red all the time, it's so cute, i've never seen a track themed show ever, so that was fun
flaws: early kbl so you know it: a lot of cliches, loan sharks, random conflict, happily ever after :D you can watch it bc sangha is really cute but the storyline doesn't make any sense and i don't think i particularly remember the kisses (i think it was just a peck, cute nevertheless)
-
62. You Make Me Dance
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
the debtor-creditor romance works ok but the execution..? i'm not sure if ymmd did well on that. the romance (it gave me butterflies bc there were actual kisses :0), cinematography, and soundtrack were really good
flaws: early kbls have the problem of rushed unexplained endings and this had it too, i wish they actually cast a dancer bc it wasn't convincing enough but yea cute romance, weird they caught feelings fast, weird conflict resolution, watch it for the romance basically lmao
-
63. A Tale of Thousand Stars
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
ik this is a fan favourite but i didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i would. what i did like is that her heart being in his body made him like phupha, that's a really clever premise. the kids and longtae were endearing, i really like the forest setting and i read somewhere that the producers made the village??? like wow??
flaws: now why would anyone be mad at tian for having torfun's heart? i don't get it at all :0 phupha was annoying in a lot of scenes and i kinda wish they explained why phupha likes tian and not torfun is bc he's gay, i mean it's implied but i wish it was said out loud. also something felt off for whole series maybe it's bc i don't really like earthmix chemistry in this. also the kiss is in the last ep, heads up on that bc they had a lot of perfect setups for a kiss but it happened only in the last ep
-
64. Gray Shelter
Korean Drama - 2024, 5 episodes
confusing
yea that's it lmao i was just confused at the end of it all but yay for the dog from choco milkshake ig?
-
65. I Told Sunset about You
Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
a fan favourite, highly rated and highly recommended. i'll tell you all that i enjoyed: i love that they had a lot of time for their romance to develop, it made sense when they had feelings for each other, their confession was really sweet, the phuket setting and the resort were beautiful and the soundtrack was really good too, bas being a green carpet, the amazing scene where ohaew had to feel feminine i felt like crying then, and that's where i bring out the flaws
flaws: teh treating and making him feel like absolute shit and in the end he gets ohtaew??? why??? ohtaew clearly deserves someone like bas who treats him so right. teh clearly has a lot of issues he needs to sort out, he was very toxic in a lot of situations. i understand he's trying to figure himself out but you can do that without hurting others. also i'm a teenager myself and i really don't understand the thing of fighting online for everyone else to see, that whole exchange made me so mad. don't get me started on the coconut scene wtf teh was a very weird character to me and i wish he explained his situation to the girl bc imagine being her :( teh doesn't deserve ohtaew :( such an angel
-
66. A Shoulder to Cry On
Korean Drama - 2023, 7 episodes
i watched this only for my boys bc they've been through a lot and they deserve a good show. NOW WHO DID MY BOYS LIKE THIS. WHAT WERE THOSE FIRST 4-5 EPS i almost wanted to pull yechan out of the screen and knock his teeth out. the 7.5 only goes to the dad, the aesthetics, THE AMAZING SOUNDTRACK (stan omega x), the backstories, the girl and uh the scene where they share a lollipop lmao
flaws: the long hair dude, taehyun bullying dayeol to the point it's not right anymore (there's a difference between teasing and bullying), the romance progression makes me wonder if dayeol just has a kink lmao and yea ig start watching normally after the 4th episode bc i watched it in 2x until then
the lack of kissing didn't bother me much honestly, just that the scene at the pool seemed so right for a kiss but i wasn't salty when we didn't get it so
-
67. My Beautiful Man: Eternal
Japanese Movie - 2023
i keep on saying what is this but i keep watching it lmao for some reason, i felt this movie had hira belittling himself even more when i wished he would think of himself as an individual person. but kiyoi was more unhinged in this ok i'll stop emphasizing on how unhinged they are or how much i can't understand their relationship. anyways the anna and hiriya arc was really sweet and it was a nice depiction of public reception. the photoshoot of kiyoi at the end was cute. the other stalker arc was weird but correctly portrayed
flaws: I wish there were scenes where kiyoi takes the lead and he is the one who says hira is beautiful, bc if that happened i'd cry for sure
anyways reminding y'all of therapy if this is the relationship y'all want
-
68. KinnPorsche
Thai Drama - 2022, 14 episodes
after one year of procrastinating, i finally finished this and omg this is so not my cup of tea. i don't really watch mature content, i honestly watched it since it's a bl essential. so if you may enjoy it wayyy more than i did. i skipped a lot of scenes and pretended that the relationships were totally normal and not a huge red flag at all haha. i really wished porsche wasn't drunk the first two times and kinn had just said "may i" bc i feel like porsche would've consented anyway, but saying it would've made it less painful to watch. i won't deny that this is one of the most interesting and layered stories i've ever seen for a bl. the ending fell a bit short (the mom part) and kimporchay could've deserved better. also, i'm still mad that they killed off big like???? i was simping over him :( i completely gaslighted myself into believing that the last few minutes of vegaspete in the hospital was their relationship and definitely nothing else happened before that. i was on the biggest rollercoaster of emotions watching kp, but since the story was interesting and i skipped a lot of scenes, it was a good watch for me (i should stop gaslighting myself).
flaws: my opinion, vegaspete and kinnporsche
random but i had a hard time fighting with myself over liking or hating vegas bc i have this hugest crush on bible but vegas is just a walking red flag
-
69. Tinted with You
Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
i watched this for junhee and i can't say this was bad? but it was a very early kbl type: flat kisses, crazy premise with no explanation or logic, weird conflict and a very rushed ending. anyways watch it bc it's junhee (stream ace for good grades uwu)
flaws: basically all that i mentioned above and the loud cicadas that destroyed the audio
-
70. Step for You
Korean Movie - 2018
strongberry, so it's short, sweet and cute
flaws: obviously since it's short, i wished they had established crushes on each other, bc building a romantic progression with such little time doesn't make sense
-
71. First Love Again
Korean Drama - 2022, 6 episodes
really ambitious premise, so i'm very disappointed with the execution :( i really loved the epilogues, and the cast yea that's basically it. the story had so much potential, the first ep was very interesting, i wished they kept that vibe for the entirety of the show.
flaws: that american guy conflict made me so mad i almost dropped the show but it was just there to make me pull my hair out, why did the other guy like our mc so immediately idk, they could've explored on mc figuring out his sexuality, the plastic wrapped new mattress was distracting TT
-
72. Cupid's Last Wish
Thai Drama - 2022, 10 episodes
another ambitious premise, i've never watched body swap before this and idk how to feel about it. the director did a great job on portraying the lin and win situation, the settings were really great, there were multiple locations and all of them were great. i love the intro song but the storyline?
flaws: the storyline lmao, what is that plot twist, why were there any antagonists at all, win's anger management issues, was it necessary for lin to end with up the cute guy (yes), did the first kiss make me uncomfortable bc it was korn kissing lin and not win, anyways i didn't like the storyline at all, the chemistry was meh, the only thing i prolly liked was the cute hair boy
-
73. Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
early kbl timeeeee: rushed ending? you know ittt actually this was so forgettable i actually forgot what happened. i think there was an almost drunk kiss and it didn't happen and i was celebrating a lot. the storyline is boring, their romance progression was shown in like a compilation kinda, nothing too special, very bro kinda relationship. but obviously, the aesthetics and soundtrack was good
flaws: very meh, won't recommend
-
74. Fukou-kun wa Kiss Suru Shikanai!
Japanese Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
i watched this after midnight with my sister so i have that kinda good memories with this show but otherwise idk man what did i just watch. very clickbaity title, just one kiss and that too in the first ep. the good things? uh naoya is hot and is a green flag
flaws: someone kidnapped kota out of an anime i swear. noone acts like that irl he made me cringe so many times TT also i don't mind less kisses buT there's a limit to how much you can tease the viewers with an almost kiss, i was on the verge of crying bc they almost kissed like 10 times. their romance development was a little fast on kota's side. and the amount of flashbacks wtf like yes ik i just saw that scene there's no need to show it again. it almost felt like they were trying to stretch out the runtime. anyways don't recommend if you hate very animated characters who think they're the mc (they are but still)
-
75. Color Rush
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
the least i could do is give an explanation for this cruel behaviour lmaooo ok the things i enjoyed about this series: the colours, soundtrack and premise
flaws: hear me out pls. THIS WAS MY FIRST BL, i had carefully picked it out bc it had hyunjun in it, i was in my peak fanfic era the plot was so interesting and i was super excited to watch it. but i was cringing throughout and i was so confused at the end
1 the actors were clearly very uncomfortable and stiff and hyunjun was delievering his lines like he was ai
2 what was the point of even talking about his mom (a very delicate topic already shared with someone he met a day before) if they weren't going to expand on it. yes, there's a s2 but i watched a few eps and the last ep and yea i don't think it was cleared up
3 it was better to have no kiss than a dead one :(
4 idr but the scene where hyunjun was saying random colour names (what even is the point of reciting to him the colour names if he can't see it) and i think a colour sounded like sex something, that was the only part of the whole show that was good lmaooo
5 their romance development was so sudden, how did they end up hugging after introductions
6 anyways i was highly disappointed bc it's my first bl and it made zero sense for a story with so much potential and ik there are way worse shows than this, but it's my personal experience, from all the shows i watched in my life
