101. Lovely Horribly
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
Not sure what was up with this drama toward the end. I still liked it, particularly the first half. I guess you have to be in the mood for Romcom Horror to really enjoy it. Perfect for October and not really spooky.
-
102. Familiar Wife
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
-
103. The Rise of Phoenixes
Chinese Drama - 2018, 70 episodes
-
104. My Girl
Thai Drama - 2018, 20 episodes
Funny and cute. I guess you could say it's a solid remake for Thailand, but like most people are saying...there's something off about it. Like things are sort of disconnected at times.
-
105. Desperate Love
Chinese Drama - 2013, 41 episodes
Finally got my Qing Dynasty drama out of the way. ( ̄Ω ̄) I guess you could call this a classic. For its time it was pretty good.
-
106. Accidentally in Love
Chinese Drama - 2018, 30 episodes
-
107. Mother
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I was gonna watch the original first, but I just got done watching the sense8 series finale and a certain common actor made me decide to check this one out first...though I'll probably hate his character in this one.
-
108. Teenage Mom
Thai Drama - 2017, 8 episodes
Idk why this had such a high rating. The acting and the script are kind of terrible.
Anyways, got my pregnancy drama out of the way for the watch challenge. >_> -
109. Devilish Joy
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
Okay, so while it wasn't original, I liked how it portrayed cinderella amnesia from a lighter perspective. I normally would not expect a main character to have it in a romcom. Also, I like how they almost made it seem like a fairy tale at times. Basically, watch it for the fluff.
-
110. HIStory2: Right or Wrong
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
If only he wasn't his professor! He was such an ass in the beginning. Also, Yo Yo is my favorite.
-
111. HIStory2: Crossing the Line
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
-
112. dele
Japanese Drama - 2018, 8 episodes
Yutaro is like a puppy. Someone please give him a haircut.
-
113. Hana Nochi Hare: HanaDan Next Season
Japanese Drama - 2018, 11 episodes
Not as good as HYD, but it sure hits the spot. I had major SLS. Also, what was up with that ending? :/ I was kind of lost, but it's probably cuz I watched this over time.
-
114. Panthakan Rak
Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes
-
115. 100 Days My Prince
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I actually really loved the last episode, so +.5 for that comedic finale. Going to miss this couple.
-
116. The Ghost Detective
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
Fantastic cast and acting, but wtf! They just tanked the plot. Some elements got super repetitive and dumb, it killed some really cool concepts.
-
117. The Guest
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
The plot is a 7 for me. The rating could probably be pushed up to an 8 or 9. It had great acting and overall production was excellent. Plus, this was probably the only decent supernatural kdrama to air this October. It had a lot of twists too...some made sense, some didn't. Anyway, something about the last episode kind of disappointed me, so I'm just gonna leave my rating as is.
-
118. Ossan's Love
Japanese Drama - 2018, 7 episodes
-
119. Bungaku Shojo
Japanese Drama - 2018, 8 episodes
super cringey. i just can't. i can see myself enjoying the manga, but i dont think this transitioned well on screen as a live action.
-
120. If Paris Downcast
Chinese Drama - 2018, 48 episodes
This started out better than your average Chinese melodrama, but really tanked in the second half. They just kept repeating the same thing OVER and OVER again as fillers and it was just ridiculous. Not even Hans Zhang could save it. The first 20 episodes were like a 6.5, but the rest made me want to shoot myself to put me out of my misery.
-
121. The World
Chinese Drama - 2016, 10 episodes
+1 for the cinematography and graphics. The plot was pretty mediocre. It started off really confusing at first, but got much more interesting in the second half. Too bad there isn't a season 2.
-
122. Something in the Rain
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
-
123. Terius Behind Me
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
There were two reasons I watched this: So Ji Sub and the kids.
The Mommy Cop and KIS organizations surprised me. Absolutely loved them. This drama was fairly predictable, but I enjoyed it. Although it was a bit silly, it's a solid, decent Action Comedy. -
124. Top Management
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
Kpop dramas aren't really my thing, but this was pretty good for a web drama. 24 Hours (ep. 14) was my favorite episode.
-
125. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
-
126. The Beauty Inside
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
I keep seeing mixed reviews for this. Perhaps, I had a better experience binge watching it as opposed to watching it while it aired. The first 10-12 episodes were pretty good. The rest were annoying draggy fillers that I skip watched through. However, I didn't feel like it dragged as much from binge watching. I enjoyed this drama. It has a little bit of a contract relationship aspect to it which is my favorite trope. I did not compare this to the movie -- it's completely different despite her "condition" being the same.
-
127. Meteor Garden
Chinese Drama - 2018, 50 episodes
OMG, I had to force myself through it for like 40 episodes, but I FINALLY finished! Just wtf was up with those last couple episodes? It was just fillers and product placement back to back. There's so much I have to say, but I guess you could say I was highly disappointed. This was just bad.
It was almost like it had an identity crisis. It seemed like they made it for a younger audience (possibly middle school - high school?), which I wouldn't be against because they did that with Let's Go Watch a Meteor Shower and it worked well. However, this was set in college so there was just a lot of drinking and getting drunk and I guess that's how they would explain some more adult themes like ending up in bed with a random stranger. But then it was really confusing sometimes cuz they made the FL look and act like she was in high school. She just sort of seemed odd compared to the other university students.
I didn't like the character development either. The ML suddenly switches to a more "mature" person at the 40th episode, but he's still immature. Oh, and don't get me started on the ML's mom. I hated her in every remake, but she was the worst in this one. I couldn't even stand hearing her voice or looking at her face in this one.
Things I DID like: The soundtrack.....and possibly the approach to ML's hair. Each remake has their own twist on the ML's crazy hair and I liked this one. -
128. Matrimonial Chaos
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
*Note: I have not seen Saikou no Rikon yet.
This is not quite something I'd highly recommend, but I'm still giving it an 8 because I loved it. There are just so many little life lessons in this and the show was written really well. You could see the flaws in their characters and then them realizing their flaws as the show progresses. I usually avoid dramas about infidelity and although the main couple did not cheat on each other, infidelity is a huge subplot with one of the supporting characters. It wasn't that annoying to watch.
Oh and of course, my girl crush Bae Doona is in this. ♥ Gotta love that she chose this role, which is different from her usual roles. It's very refreshing. There was also a subplot with a gay character, which was very brief and I suspect they might have just skimmed over it trying to dance around Korea's censorship board, but I love the fact that they touched on it. -
129. Room No. 9
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
For a body swap drama, I was totally hooked. This was a good watch. It had some flaws and did get a little crazy toward the end. For a sec, I was worried there was going to be no character development at all, but I'm glad they showed some improvement after all. If you like mystery and suspense, I'd say this one is worth checking out.
-
130. Go Ho's Starry Night
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
I live for cute fluffy dramas like this. It's the perfect drama for healing. This was pretty great for web drama standards. ♥
-
131. The Undateables
Korean Drama - 2018, 32 episodes
Not terrible. Just average. I was kind of so over it by the end. There was very little that I actually loved and it was mostly the random support characters and the SL.
-
132. Love O2O
Chinese Drama - 2016, 30 episodes
My third time watching this. It's still as great as ever. *sigh* Only annoying thing is that actress is a little stiff at times and she's a pretty terrible kisser lol.
-
133. Jao Sao Jum Yorm
Thai Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
Technically, it's your super predictable and typical lakorn, but everyone made it out alive in the end! I personally loved it, but I'm probably being biased since it had two of my favorite tropes: fake marriage and forced cohabitation. Whatever the case, you cannot deny the chemistry was on FIRE. Holy smokes, the skinship was AMAZING. This was some next level ish for lakornworld. Bravo!
Side note: The FL was such a tease! The poor ML was so good about everything too. XD There were no drawn out misunderstandings between the main couple. ♡ I would suggest just watching scenes of the OTP and fastforwarding/skipping through the rest. -
134. Plus Nine Boys
Korean Drama - 2014, 14 episodes
I loved this slice of life. It was very intriguing to see the 4 different guys going through the same bad luck at different stages in life. I was debating on whether to give this an 8.5 or a 9, but ultimately felt that the number 9 would be appropriate. ;)
P.S. Kim Young Kwang's smile is everything. ♥ -
135. Dr. Ian
Korean Drama - 2015, 9 episodes
-
136. Kahogo no Kahoko
Japanese Drama - 2017, 10 episodes
-
137. Secret Moon
Thai Drama - 2018, 13 episodes
It's consistently cute all the way through. For a lakorn, it's on the lighter side since it's a romantic comedy. It did have some of your annoying tropey elements, such as a drug smuggling villain and an annoying 2nd FL who thursts after the ML. However, the 2nd FL was not a screaming banshee, so that's a plus.
The main couple were really cute together and had great chemistry. Although, I did get more of a sibling vibe from them (not to sound weird). xD It was because of the age gap and the BTS footage of Ken being a dork.
I had this rated as an 8, but I'm dropping a point because of the draggy second half. It wasn't an annoying repetitive kind of draggy, but more like a filler kind of draggy. The plot was thin to begin with and you could tell the scenes (as cute as they were) were being used as fillers. I do not recommend binge watching. Those 2 hour episodes were tough to get through toward the end. Pace yourself. -
138. Nohra
Thai Drama - 2016, 18 episodes
-
139. Our Glamorous Time
Chinese Drama - 2018, 50 episodes
-
140. Beloved Enemy
Chinese Drama - 2017, 15 episodes
-
141. Fluttering Warning
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
This was a guilty pleasure for me cuz of my favorite tropes (contract relationship + forced cohabitation). I would look forward to it every week. However, a lot of it was poorly written, especially the last few episodes...they were just fillers. I had to fast forward through a lot.
-
142. Twelve Nights
Korean Drama - 2018, 12 episodes
-
143. History of the Salaryman
Korean Drama - 2012, 22 episodes
Last drama complete for my 2018 watch challenge! This was pretty good for its time. The focus is more on the conglomerate infighting than romance. Gotta love Jung Ryeo Won.
-
144. Just Dance
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
