Uno Nobuo

After finishing middle school, he commuted to university from the branch office and continued to live there until 1944, devoting himself to playwriting. During that time, struggling rakugo performers occasionally visited, and he socialized with them. He created several new rakugo stories, leaving the punchlines to the storytellers.
In 1933, he made his debut with "Hitoyo." In 1965, he founded the personal magazine "Uno Nobuo Gikyoku," which continued until 1977.
In 1972, he became a member of the Japan Art Academy. He served as a director of the National Theatre for many years.
