Chang Dong Seong is a German-South Korean scientist. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany and moved to South Korea when he was 7. He graduated from Anyang High School and returned to Germany in his late teens to continue his studies. He graduated from University of Konstanz with a bachelor's degree in Biology and later obtained a master's degree in Cognitive Computational Psychophysics and a Ph.D. in Human Perception, Cognition and Behavior, both from the Max Planck Institute for Neuroscience.

He worked as a senior researcher of Hyundai Motor Company’s Future Mobility Development Team and as an assistant professor at the Creative Convergence Education Center at Hanyang University. He resigned in early 2024 and now focuses on his YouTube channel and also frequently appears as a panelist/expert in science-related shows.
