Jessica Gomes is an Australian model. She is the daughter of a Portuguese father and a Singaporean mother of Chinese descent. She was born in Sydney but grew up in a semi-rural environment in Perth. In 1997 she debuted as a child actor as an extra in the Australian miniseries "The Adventures of the Bush Patrol". Her mother sent her to Linda-Ann Model Academy when she was 13 to get proper training in both modeling and acting. In 2004 she signed with IMG Models and moved to New York City where she attended La Salle College. She focused on the Asian market and up to now, she has avoided Paris or Milan and mainly appears in fashion shows in many Asian cities and sometimes in the US. She gained recognition in South Korea when in 2007 she was the face of nearly all advertisements for the Hyundai Sonata and later became the company's spokesperson. She appeared in the Swimsuit Issue of the American publication "Sports Illustrated" every year from 2008 to 2015. She was the featured spokesperson for Australian company David Jones Limited from 2013 until 2019 and later served as the face of the Estee Lauder/Sean John fragrance "Unforgivable". She also has appeared in several movies like "Transformers: Age of Extinction" in 2014 and "Tigertail" in 2020.
