Choi Jun Hyuk, known professionally as Polar, is a South Korean singer, dancer, producer and former member of HOTSHOT (핫샷). He graduated from Ulsan Daesong High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Musical Studies from Sehan University.

He made his debut in October 2014 as HOTSHOT's leader and main vocalist with their digital single, "Take A Shot". The group was able to release a few digital singles and also debuted in Japan in June 2016 and was managed by Star Crew Entertainment (스타크루엔터테인먼트; previously known as K.O. Sound and also as Ardor & Able).

He enlisted for his mandatory military service on January 28, 2020, and was discharged on August 7, 2021. While serving, all the members decided not to renew their contracts, effectively disbanding HOTSHOT in March 2021.

After being discharged, he changed his stage name to Polar, began working as a soloist and also joined the producing team VENDORS (벤더스) alongside Jang Yi Jung (also known as El Capitxn) and Nano.
