Mikijiro Hira

Hira Mikijiro

  • Name: Hira Mikijiro
  • Native name: 平幹二朗
  • Also Known as: Hira Mikijirou, ひら みきじろう, 平幹二良
  • Nationality: Japanese
  • Gender: Male
  • Born: November 21, 1933
  • Died: October 22, 2016
Hira Mikijiro was a Japanese actor and director born in Koami-cho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima, Japan. He was affiliated with Kei Factory.

At the beginning of sixth grade, Mikijiro evacuated to the home of his maternal great-uncle in Kamigeshi-cho, Konu, eastern Hiroshima, Japan. His mother remained in Hiroshima. Following her mother's illness, although childless, their farming relatives offered to take him in, but Mikijiro expressed his reluctance to become a farmer's child.

He became involved in theater during his time at Kamigeshi High School.

On October 23, 2016, he was discovered unconscious in the bathtub of his home by his son and later confirmed deceased. Following the conclusion that there was no foul play involved in his death through investigations by the Kitazawa Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the family decided to declare October 22 as the date of death, citing the cause of death as unknown. He passed away at the age of 82.
