Joey Wong
- Name: Joey Wong
- Native name: 王祖賢
- Given name: Wang Tsu-Hsien
- Also Known as: Wang Zu Xian, Wang Zuxian, Wang Tsuhsien, 王祖贤
- Nationality: Taiwanese
- Gender: Female
- Born: January 31, 1967
- Age: 57
Wong comes from a notable family: her great-grandfather, Wang Jen Feng, was a pioneer of the Tongmenghui and the founding principal of Shucheng Middle School. Her grandfather, Wang Kuo Fan, served in the Military Intelligence Bureau and was the director of the Bengbu Water Police Department. Her father, Wang Yao Huang, was a national basketball player in Taiwan. To alleviate heavy coursework, she transferred from Chongguang Girls' High School in Taipei County to Hwaisheng Junior High School in Taipei City, where she joined the school basketball team before applying to Kuo-Kuang Arts School.
At 15, Wong filmed her first advertisement for Adidas. By 16, she had made her film debut in "The Lakeside Is Cold This Year." Clips from this film's award ceremony impressed representatives from Shaw Brothers Studio, resulting in her signing with them for development in Hong Kong. She participated in Hong Kong film productions starting in 1985.
While filming "The Green Grass of Heaven" in 1987, Wong began a relationship with singer Chi Chin. In 1993, she became involved with married businessman Lin Chien Yueh, but their relationship lasted only two or three years. Her association with Lin drew significant public backlash, which adversely affected her career, leading to fewer acting roles from the mid-1990s onward. After appearing in "Beautiful Shanghai" in 2004, Wong announced her retirement from acting.
Currently, she resides in Vancouver, Canada, and occasionally shares updates about her life on social media.
