In 1994, using the stage name Yoo Chae Young, she became one of the original members of the co-ed group COOL. She even appeared with a shaved head, a bold hairstyle for female celebrities in the mid-1990s, and attracted a lot of attention from the media when they debuted with their 1st album "Why You Wanted to Be".
