Jay Chou is a Taiwanese singer, actor, songwriter, and producer born in Linkou, Taipei, Taiwan. He debuted in 2000 with his first music album "Jay".

When he was 14 years old, his parents divorced, and he lived with his father as his guardian. When he turned 18, he chose to live with his mother.

From a young age, he displayed a strong interest in music and enjoyed imitating singers, actors, and performing magic tricks. He started learning the piano at the age of 3. In junior high school, he attended Jin Hua Junior High School. During this period, his parents decided to divorce after years of disagreements, which greatly impacted his temperament. On June 23, 2005, he made his debut film appearance as the male lead in "Initial D," officially entering the film industry.

In 2006, he co-founded the trendy fashion brand "PHANTACI" with his high school friend. Additionally, heuestablished the Taiwanese e-commerce platform "J Concept Star Warehouse," which specializes in trendy clothing, accessories, and anime products.

In 2011, he invested in the Hong Kong-listed company Culturecom Holdings Limited and became a shareholder of its gaming social platform Ucan.

On April 9, 2017, Jay Chou announced the establishment of the "Magic Jay Esports" brand in collaboration with IDG and opened the first flagship store, the "Magic Jay Esports Hall," in Shenzhen. He also ventured into developing the smart educational robot "Little Maji" in partnership with his wife, Hannah Quinlivan.

Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan registered their marriage in 2014 but only announced it on Jay Chou's official Facebook page just before the wedding.

On April 2, 2015, Jay Chou confirmed via Facebook that Hannah Quinlivan was pregnant, and their first daughter was born the same year. Their son was born in 2017. On January 18, 2022, they announced on Instagram that they were expecting their third child, and later that year, they announced the birth of their second daughter.
