He made his debut in 2007 as TACHYON's lead vocalist and maknae with their first single, "Feel Your Breeze". Unfortunately, he group disbanded right after promotions for their debut single ended.
After switching agencies to MediaLine Entertainment, he spent 3 years as a trainee and re-debuted in 2011 as N-TRAIN's leader, vocalist and main dancer with their debut single, "One Last Cry". While reviews were encouraging, the agency face financial issues and the group disbanded in 2013.
In 2014, he re-debuted as BIGFLO's leader, main vocalist and main producer with their first mini album, "First Flow". They faced constant lineup changes but enjoyed mild success in Japan with their single album "Delilah".
He enlisted in the military on June 9, 2016 and was discharged on March 8, 2018. That year, he opened a studio, called Studio JtoK and, the following year, he decided not to renew his contract with HO Company and he left BIGFLO.
In 2020, he became a full-time producer and established Madewell Music. He brought former BIGFLO group mates and re-debuted as part of WE:A in March 2023 with the single "24/7:Twenty-Four/Seven".
