The fight scenes are amazing for these two series! They're both great dramas about adventures of the male lead all throughout the jianghu.
The male leads are somewhat similar in a sense that the story makes them the pivotal person of the court and the martial arts world (them being too important) but came from 2 different sides/ends - Fengnian is with the Overlord's side, Ning Que represents the royal family.
Another similar is the personality of the female lead being a very important person in the universe but is concealed/disguised as the lead's maid.
Also, of course, the most obvious similarity is Hu Jun. The roles he played are similar but different as well.
I get the same exciting watching these 2 dramas. Really great watch. Hope the season 2 lives up to season 1 though, because Ever Night fell out on the 2nd installment.

Can we just say that every crime drama watchers must go straight right into the Light On Series because that's how it should be? In terms of how frustrating it is, I can say The Long Night is at this level.
Same police drama setting that goes against an organized crime group. It gives almost the same feel/vibe as well. Really great drama to watch if you're not over The Thunder, yet.
