Brainless Drama, had great potential but they just spoiled it

The base story is great but it wasn't supported at all by the illogical slow-paced script and childish direction.
The start of the series was too dramatic and whatever character buildup was done in the 1st episode it wasn't supported at all by the remaining episodes.
The character's personality changed in every single episode.
Both the acting and the makeup (the presentation) of Kuea's character is too childish. His acting is good except for every scene in which he cries.
Direction is bad and you can easily tell that. For Eg. in the scene where Kuea is crying at his grandpa's death and Dian comes, Kuea keeps sitting on the chair after Dian offered him a handkerchief to wipe the tears, it would have been presented better if, at the time, he would have hugged Dian.
The series went from good, to bad to worse to good and to average. Nothing was consistent in the series.
To be frank, I liked the acting of most actors in the series, but what went wrong was the acting didn't properly match with the base story and their character and I blame the direction for it.

What I didn't like
* Script is too childish and illogical. For eg. why would the competitors be VIPs at Jay's pub.
* Slow paced. The duration between dialogues in serious scenes is just too much.
* Most of the series felt like it revolves around 2 men playing with their significant others.
* We are besties was spoken more than the times Kuea cried, which is a lot. Are they children???
* Multiple scenes/sub-stories are introduced in the script just to support 1 scene, even when the whole script doesn't matches
with the scene at all
* There is no character build-up, the character's personality changes every episode.
* Backstory provided for the secondary couple is incomplete and less focused.

Another illogical scene:
Ep 5, how couldn't Kuea hear the same music running in the background of Dian that was running in the back of Jay's
