I have been so frustrated recently at the kdramas that seem to justify and glorify infidelity in
marriages. Thankfully WOM did not take the easy way out. The emotional rollercoaster caused by cheating and infidelity was exposed. The veil was pulled back and no one was left
unaffected. Too often the husbands are given a pass and the wife is portrayed as a weak, whimpering moron. Not so in WOM. Some parts were painful to watch but the impact was felt. The message was clear. Infidelity comes with
consequences and the people you most love may end up as collateral damage. And divorce may not be the road taken by some despite the pain and the anguish. Whether I agreed with all her tactics or not I applaud the writers in giving us a wife who had the balls to fight back. She was downright scary in some parts. Even the depiction of the son was right on point. Too often the impact on the children is glossed over. Right or wrong in a marriage no one comes out unscathed when deceit and lies are exposed.
