Loved this ...and hated this
I had no expectations going into this drama except "Oh great another 8 episode K-BL.". Usually these 8 episode stories feel rushed and incomplete. I did not get that feeling about this one. Would more episodes have been better? Maybe but just to get a fuller picture or it may have felt drawn out needlessly. There was enough in this series to give you the information you needed to fully understand the story without feeling rushed or confused. The story was so bittersweet but I loved every minute of it even when I was balling my eyes out (which is also why I "hated" it). The chemistry of the two leads is charming and sweet. It couldn't end any other way than it does. If it did I think it would almost have been dissappointing.
I gave it an 8 for rewatch value only because it is one I'll have to set aside for a good while or be in the mood for tears to watch again.

Give it a chance
I was uncertain about this in the beginning but became to love it. It is a different storyline than most bl's which in and of itself is refreshing. Yes it moves a bit slowly but for this story it actually worked for me. You see growth in all 3 couples and I didn't feel that any part was too rushed. The back story of the leads was well placed within the story as to not get confusing as they sometimes do.These are the two lead actors from Grey Rainbow which absolutley tore my heart heart. While this story in the end does reminisce that ending it does end much better. I cried but my heart is still intact.

Over dubbing not for me...
I did not like the overdubbing at all but that is really about the only thing i didn't like. The story itself was cute. I do feel like there was probably some things lost in translation and culture. It won't be one i watch again due to how much the overdubbing annoyed me. I thought of dropping it several times but I wanted to see if the story panned out. If they do a second season as hinted at I mist likely won't watch it.
Hint: Read P'Thod's actors biography on Dramalist before the last episode. There is a joke in the end pertaining to his real life.

Cute Overview of the Thai Original
I was very excited for this "remake" but when I saw it was only 8 episodes I knew it was just going to be a little fluffy piece.I did enjoy this dont get me wrong but other than the sister writing a fan fiction about her brother there was very little that resembled the Thai Original.
I had hoped that this would bring K-BL's out of there sade zone but no it did not. There is SO much more to this story that if it were included would have made the fluffy story have more grit to it.
If you haven't watched the Thai version watch the Korean one first so you can enjoy it for what it is. It is a good but not when you have the Thai version in your head already!

I am head over heals for this show!
When I first saw this and realized what it was I was so excited! A KOREAN GAY dating show! What a huge step. Every minute of this show was worth the time to watch it.I hate American reality shows because of all the uneccesary drama written in. So this show was so refreshing. It seems so pure and honest. If anything was written in they did it very well but I'm going with they did not.
These guys were so open and honest with each other and they learned a lot from each other. I laughed and cried and cried and cried. Dont let that deture you from watching it though (I cry easily).
I will be rewatching this because I am sure there are plenty if details I missed. I have been recommending this to everyone who might even be remotely interested!
My only hope is that they do a follow-up epidode so we can check in on the guys and see how they are doing now. Do I want a second season? Only if the can keep the same integrity of the first season and not feel the need to write anything in!

Too Many Questions
As usual I dud prefer the movie version over the serial version. To be honest I watched this show originally because of Holland. I loved the actors and the chemistry was good.I don't really have a problem with with the story except I feel like they lost a couple of sections (or episodes in the series). Here come the spoilers....
1. Why does Tommy just leave? No explanation, no note, no nothing? Ha Da said he would support him with his music and then Tommy just poofs anyway!
2. Tommy comes back after 1-1/2 years or so and they both act like it's only been a couples of months?! Still no explanation but no anger either!
Those two points are what keep me from giving it a higher rating. I just cant get past them! If those gaps had been filled in it would have been a 9.5 easily. Otherwise it is a sweet little Korean love story. It is what I would expect from the 8 episode stories come from Korea.

Movie vs Series
I always watch the series as they come out then the movie version once it is available. I usually prefer the movie over the series because it just flows better. However this is the first time I have preferred the series. Mainly because the story line is a bit weak and I think it becomes more evident in the movie version. Everything is just kinda vague. Even the explanations when given are vague. You have just enough information to keep you from scratching your head in confusion.
I still enjoyed this series. It was very sweet and tender. It is quiet and peaceful. You'll understand those two statements if you warch it.
Will I rewartch it again? Probably just because it is a calming show to watch and sometimes I just need that.

Oof what a rollercoaster!
Keep in mind as you read this I am not nitpicky and I enjoy shows for what they are. This all just my personal feelings on this title.I was enthralled almost from the get go. There are so many emotions running thru this entire series. FYI - There are 41 rpisodes not 27. I watched this on Gagaoolala.
It is a bitter sweet love story that spans 110 years. I was never bored watching this. Annoyed alot but you are suppose to be. I my opinion it was well written. The jumps back and forth in time (forward and backward) were never confusing. They served their purposes well.
This is a story of love, deceit, betrayal, greed, and loss. I dont know how many tears I shed so be prepared for that.
Warning: There is rape and a coerced relationship.
Also some of the effects were not the best but I could overlook this as I did enjoy the story.

There's Something about Japanese BL's
I dunno there is just something about Japanese anything that I just love. This story is so sweet. The main leads have such a beautiful relationship from start to finish. I loved the premise of the series with the bad luck vs. the good luck and how they make that work.
I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this one. It doesnt feel rushed or choppy. The writing is so good and there are some iconic lines I cant say without giving something away.
This series just makes you feel good! This will definately be my go to for bad days.

More Please
I've said this before but I love Japanese Dramas. There is just something about them and this show was no exception. My only complaint with this series is that it was only 5 episodes. Not that it needed to be longer I just wanted it to be longer!
This is a sweet, simple, fulfilling, and heart warming show. It actually was able to tell the story it wanted without being rushed or feel like you were missing something.
I loved this show and it is definately on my feel good re-watch list!

I liked it MOSTLY
I did enjoy this show mostly... I liked the story, the characters, the chemistry....mostly. It was a sweet story at first. The crush, the meeting, the flirting. Then it took a dark turn. This was fine mostly. The story was good but rushed at points and really slow at others. It was cute with the crush and flirting but it became more about bullying. I did not mind that BUT it took over the show and they made Lukchub look like he had the emotional capacity of a 10 year old. Everyone was way to protective if him. It really irked me at times.
Overall I liked the story I just wasnt expecting the turn it took.

Was dreading the swap story but pleasantly surprised
When I first heard this was a body swap story I decided I wasn't going to watch it. I don't usually like them. I did eventually give in and was pleased with how the switch was handled. Win never tried to hide it from Korn. He did from his family but you don't see much interaction with them so it doesn't get overly annoying. I probably wont re-watch it at least not for quite a while since in the end it still felt 1000 Stars style. Dont get me wrong I did like that show but I don't want a completley separate show to give me the same vibes. It was a cute series for what it was and well EarthMix so....Was this review helpful to you?

A rollercoaster of emotions
I think I experienced every emotion while watching this series. Sadness, shock, annoyance, anger, frustration, happiness and joy. It was a rollercoaster. While I understand what the more negative reviews I found when looking at the entire picture it made sense the way this was written. I don't think the full impact of the ending could have been as powerful had it not. This show needs to be looked at in its entirety at the end to appreciate the rest.
While going through the series can be tough at points it all comes togther in the end. The viewer really needs to sit back and pay attention to the why's if they don't the ending won't be nearly as impactful because the character growth is immense, especially for the mother.
Yes, I did have issues with some things but not with what one would expect! My biggest issue was with the middle because it seemed a but unrealistic. I won't say more here I trust the viewer will understand what I mean as they watch it.
I think this show is definately worth the watch. Just remember keep an open mind and let the why's sink in!

Wait what happened?
I usually love anything Japanese but unfortunately this was not the case with this show. It started out cute and then it got a bit interesting and then it flatlined. Not sure if it was just because of the writing or if it was the casting, probably both. The acting was good. The intentional awkwardness of the couple was fine. But the story was weak and they seem like the most unlikely of couples. And the lack of communication. Are they a couple or arent they? Even the couple themselves weren't sure. It was a bit odd!

Episode 8 Syndrome
I loved this until the last episode. Yes it had its issues along the way as the other reviewers note but I didn't have issues with that. I am use to that with K- BLs. I loved the actors, the scenery, the story until episode 8. As with so many K-BLs they try to wrap it all up in that last episode and leave SO many unanswered questions. No one in their right mind would act the way so many Ep 8's end. They really need at least 2 more episodes to end properly and answer questions instead if leaving it to the viewer to write it out.Was this review helpful to you?
